An update for my 4-wide version of the classic German sportscar, the Porsche 911 model 964
About this creation
I already was quite satisfied with the sihouette of my 4-wide 911, but not a 100%. The front window didn't look right and there was a "bump" on the rear end. I didn't find a solution for that until I got some more of the black 45 deg slopes with a cutout.
With these parts I could get a 45 deg windshield without moving the roof upwards. They also make the "green house" one stud shorter without shortening the white roof section. So I was able to move the green house 1/2 stud to the front to get rid of the "bump" on the rear end.
This is the result: Rear view, right side
And left side
Left front view with the new windshield
Side view: See the new slopes and the translated "green house"
There is quite a difference between both versions...
So this is V1.1 of my 4-wide LEGO Porsche 911, model 964. I hope you like it :-))

Amazing details in a scale like this.Do ever thought to build in the miniland scale or do you more in the 4 wide group? Great car.
I'm more into 4-wides. First of all I like the challenge of including as many details as possible in these tiny models. And then there is my limitation of time, space and bricks for bigger models ;-)) I think my girlfriend wouldn't like it to have a half finished model lying around in our living room for weeks ;-))

... You could use panels to increase the internal width but that limits what you can do on the outside (decals/livery). Like you I don’t use stickers, I like to recreate decals/livery with bricks and plates only (snot etc), so I am forced to build my transporters at 7 wide. ...
If I make a closed transporter, I think I'll use panels and simple stripes above and / or below them to stay 6-wide. That might get tricky, but I like the challenge.
Hi Nils, got your comment. I think a transporter for your cars would be a great addition to your collection. My two transporters are 7 wide (with a 5 wide internal width). As you know 4 and 5 wide cars can be slightly wider depending on the choice of wheels. You could use panels to increase the internal width but that limits what you can do on the outside (decals/livery). Like you I don’t use stickers, I like to recreate decals/livery with bricks and plates only (snot etc), so I am forced to build my transporters at 7 wide. More of a challenge but the end result is well worth it. I am currently working on some 5 wide GT40s with wide slick wheels (a 6 wide internal width is needed) so I am planning an open type transporter instead – maybe another version of my blue Fiat transporter. Thanks you for you continued support Nils, it really means a lot. I look forward to your mociversary post.
I love this. A few months ago I started to build my own version of your mk1, I tried and tried to get the front windscreen right but failed. These ‘new’ pieces you are using give the perfect angle. A fantastic little build mate.
