Hero Factory Breakout review #18: Speeda Demon
First off, let me apologise for the lengthy amount of time between this review and the last. This is Speeda Demon, the largest set of the Breakout series. This is set #6231, and it comes with 192 pieces
About this creation
Here are all the pieces:

Here are the pieces that weren't bagged:

Two tires.

Here are the Bone and armour pieces for Speeda Demon:
One wide lime green armour piece.
A lime green Black Phantom mask.
Four sise 5 armour pieces in lime green.
Four trans green sise 3 armour pieces.
Four longer upper limb pieces.
One regular torso piece.
Two longer lower limb pieces.
Two regular black lower limb pieces.
Five shorter lower lime pieces.
Two lime green feet.
Four lime green hands.
One red Glatorian skull.

Extra pieces comming with Speeda Demon:
Two Ninjago Kratana in gold.
Two gold Savage Planet blades.
Three silver Savage planet weapon connectors.
Two Voltix lightning pieces.
One Ordeal of Fire chestplate in gunmetal grey.
Ten atlantis teeth in gold.
Two grey pins and two red sise 2 axel pieces.

Pieces in Speeda's bike which is not pure technic:
One purple Skrall armour piece.
One Mistika foot piece.
Two gunmetal grey armour pieces.
Two silver Ordeal of Fire armour pieces.
Two armour/pinhole attachment pieces.
One Purple Stormer XL scout drone.
Two Surge weapon pieces.
A hero Core.
Sixteen gold Atlantis teeth.

Pure Technic. These are all the liftarms and similar pieces. I'm not going to list them all.

More Pure Technic. I know very little about Technic, so instead of making myself look a fool by trying to list it all, I've just organised the pieces, so the people who know all this can see it for themselves.

Ok, that's it. Onto the build.

Ok, so here is the whole set put together. I'm just going to separate the two for the moment.

Speeda Demon connects to the bike through the handles, and...

...his butt connects to a socket piece in the seat of the bike. A clever idea. I wish something similar was done with the Bionicle Vehicles, to make attachment seem less awqward.

So here is Speeda on his own. I'm not sure I like the figure too much...

Some people do not like the way the fact that the ends of the handlebars come off with him, but It makes sense from Speeda's perspective. Because at least if he was somehow unable to get to his bike, and surrounded by heroes he could use the handles to fend them off, along with the Kratana's on his back.

Speaking of which, I'm am happy with these. They're a bit awqward as a set, but I like the way they were done and the pieces that were used.

It's nice to see that Lego added a bit of armour on the back, just to show that they care about it.

The head is nice. Yes, I know that Lego have used that mask a lot of times, and I do agree that it is slightly lazy, but it's such a cool mold, I personally don't mind having it in a lot of colours. I like the idea of the blades on his head. It would remove friction when he's going at high speed, whilst also remenissent of a Demon.

I don't like the idea of the body. Yes, I know that it's ment to make him look skinny, but I really don't like the look of it. Also, wouldn't it make sense to use a silver chestplate or even gold instead of Gunmetal?

Now, onto the Bike. I really like this, and when building the bike, it made me glad that I braught this set.

Yes, I do know that every bike ever in existance, toy or real, must have this, but I do like the way this front part was built, and I like the way it was attached so that it rotates. (I sound like a five year old who's trying to do a review and has run out of things to say.)

As you can see, the Bike doesn't have a stand, and is only propped up because of the turbines. This was kinda dissapointing. Whatever.

One of things that made me love this set was the sheer bulk of it. I've always liked Bulky lego creatons. It just tells you that the person who built it put a lot of work into it. Obviously it can't be too bulky, because it is ment to be a bike going at high speeds. I think it's just right in thickness.

The Colour scheme is... Meh. I like the idea of a purple bike, but it just doesn't seem like it's enough. The core of the bike is Gunmetel grey. Gunmetal is a tricky colour. If you're going to have it as an accent, and put too much of it in there, then it can ruin the colour. Also I don't think Lego should have put the gold teeth onto the bike, because Gold is more of Speeda's colour, and doesn't work unless Speeda is actually on the bike.

The whole thing put tohether is quite good. I'm liking the Lime Green/Purple thing. That may just be me, but I do like it.

Speeda holds the Bike up with his own feet up, which isn't too good, especially when posing him in mid-ride.

Also, putting his feet up like this is fine as a toy, but in real life, it would be very dangerous. He would have to angle his legs in awqward positions to avoid the electricity comming out of the bike, the spikes, and the wheels.

Okay, so I'm gonna rate it under three different subheadings: Astethics, Build(Including designs and pieces uses) and Suiting the character. Each subheading is out of five. So here's Speeda's results:
