After the success of the Deep Striker armor in space combat, the ZODIAC Corporation produced another space operations mobile suit. Instead of the standard allowances like legs and manipulator arms, the ZODIAC engineers went straight for space-dedicated mobility features and a fixed-mount weapon type. Legs were removed in favor of propellant tanks with thruster nacelles, and the oversized mobility-assist backpack with vernier adjustment thrusters was added.
The result was the Dragonfly-B type suit, known as the Dra-B. Nicknamed "ButtPuckerer 2000" by mobile suit pilots, the Dra-B is the fastest and most agile suit in space at this point. A special pilot training program had to be implemented after several Dra-B's slammed into the side of a space station during maneuvers, while their panicked pilots tried to pull out of high-speed approach angles.
While not the most elegant solution to space combat, the Dra-B was a cheaper and faster alternative to the Deep Striker armor, and has become a staple of space garrison forces.
Great rendition of the Dra-C! Seeing this reminded me of the original Mobile Suit and made me remember something: Why have legs on a space-type Mobile Suit? Which will be the basis for a new Mobile Suit that is a work in progress. Once again, great work!
