So a little while back, a commenter on my original stunticons asked if Motormaster could change into his base form. Sadly the old version I created could not. So instead of just upgrading Motormaster, I went 1 step beyond and re-built the entire stunticon-set from scratch, with better functionality and all weapons included this time. Meet G1 Stunticons 2.0!
About this creation
So first up we have Dragstrip in vehicle mode. I both like and dislike this one, as It is definitely an improvement over my first dragstrip, but can only become an arm for Menasor, as Dragstrip is too tall to become a leg.
So here we have Breakdown. Breakdown is probably the most recognizeable of the Stunticons, and he was my favorite to re-build of the group. Much like before, himself, Dead End and Wildrider have a similar "mold" to speak, but they are all still slightly different.
Up next is Dead End, whose Major differences from Breakdown include his front wind-shield and his entire back section, aka his legs.
Similar story with Wildrider here, His wind-shield is the same as Breakdown, but his legs transform entirely different.
Then the big guy himself, Motormaster. I'm very proud of parts of this re-build, and others I'm not. I love this version of the Truck cabin 10 times more, but I wish I could have made his trailer more "complete". But had I done this, he would not have been able to transform properly.
Stunticons! Transform! Robot modes!
Here are Dragstrip & Breakdown in robot modes. I'm very pleased with how they turned out.
Wildrider & Dead End in robot modes. I'm also proud of them.
And finally, Motormaster in robot mode. While definitely a step-up from his vehicle mode, he's a bit on the tall side.
Ignoring how tall he is, I think his upper body is just splendid. I paid extra attention to detail with his "chest plate" and his arms are better articulated this time, and they don't look as "wonky" to speak.
Stunticons! Unite to form - MENASOR!
And here is Menasor. He looks much better than my 1st attempt, and this one is pretty well articulated too. Great range of leg posibility, and his arms and hands have more movement this time around too. The hands even have fully articulated fingers - just like my recent Bruticus!
Menasor side view.
Menasor back view. Here I would have shown off how you can store the sword on Menasor/Motormaster's back, but LDD wasn't co-operating with me when I took these pictures for some reason, and wouldn't allow the sword to connect.
Menasor - ready to crush any Autobots who dare try to cross his path! Also on a side note, Breakdown/Dead End/Wildrider are scramble city, and as you can make any of the 3 an arm or leg. As I said earlier, Dragstrip is a bit too tall to be a leg, but he can become either one of Menasor's arms.
Much like with my Swindle of the Combaticons, Motormaster's Truck cab can fit 2 hard-hat wearing mini-figures inside. To take them in and out, just move 1/2 half of the cab as if you were transforming to Robot/Menasor mode, and there you go!
And lastly, Motormaster in the base mode. Even with the upgrade, this was a little tough to work in, as much like Onslaught, its not 100% accurate to the original toy, but its there none-the-less. Sadly its because of this base mode formation that the trailer is a bit sloppy - but I did it!
