This is the Banking Clan Frigate from Star Wars Episode III.
About this creation
Well my Banking Clan Frigate is finally done. It contains 6178 pieces, is 97 cm long and 63 cm wide. It weigh's about 25 lbs and cost around US$800 in pieces.
This is my most detailed model to date. I especially like the 100's of hooks placed below the bow which give it a good movie look from a distance. I also like the primary turbolaser up front. It is built from a lot of tecnic pieces which allow it to function similar to the actual one. The engines are also highly detalied. As usual, there are transparent yellow tiles that represent port holes across the ship - theres about 150 in total.
I designed this ship on Lego Digital Designer 2.0. I liked 2.0 for its ability to handle models with 5000+ pieces. However, generating instructions is impossible on large models unless one can wait 15 hrs.
Up next is my Venator Star Destoryer which is to scale with my CIS ships. I hope to have the whole Episode III space battle scene put together before Halloween - it will look amazing.
For more pics of this and other ships check out my: Brickshelf Folder God willing, it will be operational for the next little while.
EDIT: To raise funds for my Executor, you can now buy the digital design of the ship here for $10.
I guess I might as well could just ask you here: I'm making some LEGO Star Wars stop motion animation films, which I upload to YouTube. For my next film, I need a Banking Clan frigate for a scene, and I was just wondering if I could get your permission to use yours?
I will just use these pictures (unless you got more that you'd like to send me)
And I will ofcourse give you credit and link to you page if you want me to!
I am not super-professional, but my videoes are of a decent quality and I have allmost 500.000 video views in total :)
I hope to hear from you!

wow man this is an amazing model. I cant believe you had the patience to build such a spectacular ship. I was wondering if you could send the file for it to my email firstname.lastname@example.org . It would be very useful if you could beause I make brickfilms and CGI too. Thank you for your time,
I have to admit, I'm a wee tad bit jealous that your use of the design software lets you get an accurate piece count. I'm too lazy to even come close to providing an accurate estimate. My first tower was 10K, and after that I scale part quantity estimates down simply using lwh ratios, independent of everything else. You da' man!
Incredible as is all of your models! I do want to note my Royal naboo starship has the same round technique not because I copied you. On the contrary I built it without having seen your ship. I just want to be sure you don't think I copied your design. Great model. I recognized it instantly!
I tried building one of these, and i had the entire back part done, but then my dog was wagging her tail, and her tail knocked it off the table i was building it on, so I just gave up. And it was minifig scale too! Anyway, mad props to you man!!!.
I think all of your capital ships are 5/5, superb. Excellent shape, consistency, size, accuracy and quality. I will be adding a link to your page on my homepage under along with my list of great capital ship builders. Please be sure to check out my minifig-scale Dictator-Class Star Destroyer if you havn't already. Thanks.
