The Renaissance: A genre the Lego company has never produced? What would it look like in plastic bricks? Choose a scene set in the
Renaissance period (different from the middle ages and typical "castle" stuff so choose wisely) and show us your take on it.
The Ranaissance, the time of art and the time of inventions.
And who is the perfect example for art and inventions?
Of course Legonardo da Vinci.
Let's take a look at Legonardos workshop:
He is working on a new magnificent painting:
Legonardo hasn't always the ways and means to build all his inventions, but he made many detailed notaitions about his clever ideas.
His most famouse invention is his try of an aircraft. It hangs under the roof in his workshop:
Ooops. Watch out Legonardo! Don't smudge your noble wooden floor.
Every inventor needs anyway a chaotic shelf. ;)
He dosn't always invented friendly things, but also military equipment like catapults.
But Lego is a toy for children, so i build only two little models of a catapult and his "crossbow".
For homy winterdays a camin:
From his room he has an overview of the surrounding area.
He is also "animal-loving".
I'm very happy abaout my new chairdesign. :)
To presentate Legonardos aircraft worthily i builded two additinal scenes:
and the "landing".
While he was his time ahead, his aircrafts couldn't fly.
Also Legonardo was a thrice blessed sculptor:
I want to end my presentation with a "behind the curtain picture".
Here you can see how i made the forced perspective out of the window.
I hope you enjoyed my "take-on".
Good luck to all contestants!
This is most definitely one of my all time favourite creation of yours. It'S not just the always high level of details that you present in each of your MOCs, it'S also the perfect atmosphere that you captured. I'd love to see that as a new official LEGO theme.
You chose the perfect setting for Leonardo: a tower room; the chair is brilliant but also the sack with wood next to the fireplace adds to the wonderfull atmosphere with this MOC. There's an OOH and a AAH for every pic in your entry. Well done and good luck with your judges!
Wonderful! Legonardo... I see what you did there ;) Very nicely put-together, and all the extra scenes, forced perspective, and the like are awesome! You have a fantastic entry here, great atmosphere and detailing throughout.
