This was one of those random doodles I do from time to time. My only plan was that this should be a scene of some kind. But what it depicted or any context, grew as I built, even the shape of the base plate got bigger the longer I added new details.
The scene grew out from the rock pillar in the centre. The lake came second, followed by the shore. The surrounding fields and hills were next and finally the snowy landscape to the south east (I'm taking directions from the preview thumbnail).
Because at this scale individual details are only suggested in a cubist fashion, the variations in green could represent trees or grass.
One thing is certain, with such choppy water on the lake, today is bad weather.
