Shell Car Company is proud to present the all new 2013 Shell 'Shellica' 6-wide sports car. This is the first attempt by Shell Car Company to enter the 6-wide vehicle market.
About this creation
The all-new 2013 Shell Shellica sports car is a dream come true for Shell Car Company. Shell Company is trying to transition from the 4-wide vehicle market to the 6-wide market without losing their very own distinctive styling.
Under the hood the 2013 Shellica is powered by a 6-cylinder Shell Engine mated to a 3-speed manual transmission that actually works! The engine is the same kind you found on some of Shell's latest 4-wide vehicles.
The rear of the 2013 Shellica is very sporty.
The car has a spoiler and two dual exhaust pipes.
This new and unique 3-speed transmission developed by Shell Car Company actually works. I will show you how it works. Right now it is in RED. That is the 'neutral' or 'parking' position. The transmission is supposed to be there when the car engine is idleling or turned off.
The transmission has been shifted to the 1. This is the 'first gear' or speed 1. This is to be used for cruising around at low speeds.
The transmission has been shifted to 2. This is the 'second gear' or speed 2. This is to be used for higher speeds on freeways.
The transmission has been shifted to 3. This is the 'third gear' or speed 3. This is full-power or passing power for the freeway.
Among other features the 2013 Shellica features is an opening roof. This has always been a very familiar feature of Shell cars.
The underpinnings of the car will show you that unlike most cars in MOCPAGES the 2013 Shellica transmission does not utilize any Lego Technic parts. It is 100% made out of Lego common bricks and baseplates. The Shell 3-speed transmission engages both front and rear wheel axels meaning its a 4 wheel drive!!! Right now the transmission is the Neutral position.
This is to show you what happens when the transmission engages in gears 1 2 or 3. The front and the rear wheel axels do actually move forward when the transmission is engaged.
The 6-cylinder engine also literally goes out towards the front of the car and out of the hood when the transmission is engaged.
The best feeling was actually testing the car in the floor and having to manually engage the Lego transmission to full power at gear 3 while running!!
Notice that the car is sloped meaning both wheel axels are not at the same height. The rear axel is higher than the front axle. This had an unintended effect on the transmission that I couldn't have foreseen......
The transmission shifter ungears itself meaning it comes back to the RED position!!! 'Unbelievable...no way!!!' was my reaction when I saw that totally unintended effect while testing the car on the floor. When I saw that first time I dismissed it as luck. But after several tests I realized that it was real!!!

SHELL CAR COMPANY DECLARED BANKRUPTCY IN EARLY 2013 AND WAS BOUGHT BY ANOTHER MOCUSER'S COMPANY CALLED WEBBSTER. TODAY THE COMPANY IS KNOWN AS WEBBSTER-SHELL AND YOU CAN SEE THE FILE WITH THE LATEST CREATIONS.
