After my LUG's display, I will finally have time to upload and build again... This one was made in the three days' time, a few hours all together.
About this creation
When I listened to The Wings of the Hydra while playing Heroes of Might and Magic 2, I got strongly inspired. Sadly, that was one month before my country's LUG's display - KockeFest, which is wehn all my travis bricks were either in the black dragon, rocks or trees, so I could not do much abou it. Luckily, the inspiration persisted, so I built this creation relatively fast.
There will be a yellow-light gray version with some improved features and additional details when I have all necessary bricks for that.
I noticed this before but I do not think I had time to comment. I have always been fascinated by mythical beasts and this one is very realistic and looks rather venomous! Are you going to name him/her?
Hey! Followed this pic here, from your Homepage. Intrigued by how well you've gotten organic curves from System pieces, and respect that you're trying to preserve a small Scale, but I really think the loss of detail on all the heads costs you, overall.
Also, there aren't that many pictures showing the face detail. Same reason?
Perhaps you could add a 1x1 1/8th pin-clamp stud on the lower jaw, to offset the bluntness, there. Other than that, this is a pretty good MOC.
Look forward to your next!
I d really love it that you pick the challenge deus! I m not sure of the date of the end of the world as you mentionned, but, I figure we won t be able to do much from what I ve heard, maybe you have some time left to run to the store! lol! I have reffined the system, it s on! check my page!
it already looks pretty good, I could tell it was an hydra from the start, you have nt been very productive in my absence, 2 creations? it seems you used to do more, although much smaller than your magnificent fortress.
I'm not particularly familiar with Hydra's (aside from the multiple head thing), but this one looks nice. Nice use of minifig bricks for the heads, and good flexibility. I do agree that the body either needs to longer or shorter. Right now it's not sure if it's a full dragon or a sprite/chibi IMO. That being said, it IS an excellent dragon. Can't wait to see how the yellow one turns out!

Neat! I like the heads a lot becuse rhey use some excellent parts. Are the tongues quite possibly Rotta the Hutt's arms, or are they modified pieces?
They are minifigure hands.

Fantastic! I love the idea and the details are superb! My only thoughts here would be to make the necks a bit longer so to increase the definition between each head, they are kinda close to each other. Apart from that, this is a beast no minifig should challenge lightly! ~Thoy

Impeccable work, Deus. I really like the techniques and colours used.

I could do that, but the only problem here is the colour. They are supposed to be this close to each other, but you can not see the shadow. It looks much better in person, which is apropriate for my plans with it.

be a little longer?
Actally, since I am working with a reference picture/sprite, I have to disagree with the comments. This may look better than what I have planned, but I need to make it even shorter.
