The ongoing saga of my attempts to build a good Iron Man Ultrabuild… Part 4
About this creation
Version 4. I am both pleased and disappointed with this. There's an awful lot of that lovely burgundy red as opposed to the bright red most of the toys use, it's got a pretty accurate build, and it's probably the most complex figure I've personally designed and built (not saying much compared to some people, I know). On the other hand, it's a bit too complex and has far too many pieces which makes it look ungainly, and in scaling up the build the chest and head are far too small.
I actually stopped building Iron Man stuff for a while after this one (initially finished some months ago) but have recently picked up on Version 5 again. I'm not sure whether to continue trying to work the burgundy pieces on, or go for a more straight red and gold for a more uniform color. Ah well.
"Your move, Reindeer Games."
Okay, I know he said that with the Mark VI, but I don't have a chest plate like that.
"I could use a partner…"
Just a little teaser for my next upload. ;)
