A specialized Mobile Core unit of the Eurasia Federation.
About this creation
After the widespread use of Mobile Core units as front-line units, the Eurasia Federation produced a Mobile Core with the specific intent of anti Mobile Core warfare. It is larger than the other MCs and boasts greater individual firepower and armor.
The Autocannon being fired. It has a relatively high rate of fire for such a large weapon.
A closeup of the Autocannon. The weapon-mounted shield provides additional defense, with the slit allowing the pilot to see their targets. Which shall be numerous!
The back-mounted ammunition pack, which can be ejected once the ammunition is depleted.
Shown here is the chute that connects the ammunition pack to the Autocannon. It attaches to the back of the right arm for additional support.
Mortar pods allow the Overlord to target enemies that are behind fortified positions, bringing "death from above" upon the opposition.
The axe is stored on the left hip of the Overlord. Although it is not as sharp as most bladed weapons, its sheer weight will crush and tear through most armor.
The axe and shield are equipped for melee combat. The shield is stored on the left shoulder when not in use.
An elite Spetsnaz pilots the Overlord. His superior skill and battlefield knowledge allow him to use the Overlord to its maximum potential.
The cockpit opens from the top.
The handle for the shield folds up against the shield when it is stored. Also shown are the claws on the hands, which can be used as last resort melee weapons.
The power unit of the Overlord is covered up by the ammunition pack. Here the pack has been ejected, showing the larger power unit, which boasts a higher quality and quantity of power output.
The heavily armored legs of the Overlord. Due to the heavy armor, a normal pilot would find the Overlord not as maneuverable as other Mobile Core Units. This is not true with a Spetsnaz in the cockpit.
Shoulder and arm detail of the Overlord. Horns are placed in numerous places to give a more fearsome look.
The Overlord is ready to attack with the axe and shield armed!
A Browning is attacked by an Overlord. Despite the advanced nature of the Browning's shield, it is no match for the superior melee power of the axe.
With the Browning's shield and most of its left arm crushed and demolished, the Overlord moves in for the final blow!
After creating the Zim with the Russian ideal of "quantity over quality," I wanted to go with the other Russian ideal: "Ours is bigger than yours. Why? Because it is Russian!" This was the foundation for the Overlord. I have always liked the idea of a person holding a minigun-type weapons system (similar to holding turrets in the Halo games), and based my creation off of that. Why aim when you can hip-fire and spew lots of lead downrange?
