Mr. Beckett. I just returned from a 5 week work/vacation related trip, and found your request for my "Computer Autograph"...huh. Ok. Here it is: Michael Rutherford". Good luck with your autograph collection. This tower is a study is simplicity. It is very basic, but that is not a bad thing. You have captured a basic form by using only basic peaces and colors. Well done. As a result, you have to focus on the most important features of your subject, and capture those. the use of a different color to represent the windows is a good idea. Many builders would benefit from doing some more building at this "no frills" level before allowing themselves to be distracted by all the fancy parts and colors that are avalible. Keep building. Attack!
Nice, but i do agree with mastermind :-) Looking at it though, i suddenly thought it could be rebuilt into the eiffel tower. It is already in mono-colour and would be a good way to improve your skills in detailing ;-)
Thanks! About the exterior, I thought about that but I have barely any pieces. I'll try it. Also, I made it yellow because I was copying a picture of a yellow tower. The blue bricks are the windows. Thanks for your compliments! Nate.
Nice MOC! Cool design :P So... I don't know much about building buildings (haha) but I'll help as much as I can. For the exterior, try some some details, like maybe a few windowsills or something, instead of just having a plain wall. Try giving it some textures to the walls. Personally, my favorite piece to use is a 1x4 brick brick with studs facing two directions. With four studs facing out of the wall, you could do a lot of stuff with it. You could put a balcony, or put some misc decorations you think would look nice. Instead of pure yellow, you could also try some varieties, like.. say mainly grey pierces with a few darker grey or lighter grey pieces. That gives it a sort of a stone-like look to it. Anyways, I hope I've been of some help. Keep up the good work!
