Same here Hashtag, and on their website, they really aren't clear about whether it works on Mac or not, it just simply says Windows XP as a minimum requirement, but nothing like "This is not compatible with Macintosh computers". Seriously, this is the 21st century! Do people not realize that there is such a thing as a "Mac"? |
|
Hey Anthony, I use a Mac and this isn't supported on Macs, do you know of any way to do this with an Apple computer? Thanks! |
|
Ok, but I have this problem of this
unable to generate necessary includes
unable to open file
File might be in use by LDD
Close LDD and retry
Could not find File 'C:UnserSierra-505DesktopArmory Arsinaldb.lif
can anyone help??? |

@Rick Charles: Images.
@F BR: Try harder, it does work.
@Grantas Smith: The bigger and detailed your thing is, the longer it'll take. Trans is a time killer. |

It's working to me. But it takes very long time... Is it normal? And, the renders are pictures or actual creations? |
|

I have tried using your tutorial but it still doesn't work. Can you or someone else make a video tutorial. I don't care about the quality as long as I can read and see what your doing. I don't care If you are recording with a phone. |

I'm using Windows7 64 bits. |

HELP!! i tried, but it came up with 'the disk cannot be written to because it is write protected. please remove the write pretection from the volume LDD to POV-Ray Includes in drive Device |
|
Are the renders just images, or actual models? |
|
I don't know why but this didn't work for me. :-(
Can you explain more in depth how exactly to do this? I'm not tech savvy so I don't understand tech words. I just want to make lego in ldd and make it look good for presentation. |
|
when i first did the setup it asked for "db.lif location:", which automatically chose. but then it asks for "Output path for includes:" what do i put there? |

Very good tutorial, but where does it save the rendering (picture of the creation)? |

Very interesting, I've been trying to do this but it won't work, I had to create LDD includes myself and evidently there's nothing in it :/ |

Absolutely awesome! As a builder who works heavily in LDD, this totaly rocks my world. You had best believe that I will be going back and redoing a lot of my screenshots. Thanks! |

This is pretty neat! Going to try this out sometime, just one question. Are all of these programs available for mac? |
|
Another problem: I have done everything, and my file is now ''Mazda Furai.ini'' With what do I need to open it? |

I'm definitly going to try it. But just one question: Does exporting to *.3ds *.blend *.br7 or *.fbx work too? I'm just asking, because it would be nice to import a Lego model to a racing game ;) |

Thanks for pointing me to the LDD to POV Ray converter. I had been using LDView to generate pov files, but I like this method, better. There also appears to be more options with this converter as far as the final look. |

First, thanks for doing this. I only don't get step 4. Because I need to edit it, but if I open Edit Master POVRAY.INI I get a notepad with text. What next?
Thats right, just scroll down the hole text and add Library_Path=".LDDIncludes" on a new line and close the notepad saving the changes. |

Very Useful! I do not have LDD Though... What version of windows are you running?
Sometimes Vista, sometimes 7even.
This programs work perfectly on both.
But I didnt try to render on XP or W8, so I dont know, how this will work on them.
