With the approach of Halo 4 I could not help but be in a geeky mood. So I jumped onto Lego Digital Designer to bring to life a simple Warthog. My main inspiration was to see how well the new Olive Green color would work in a Halo model... However even on LDD there is a limited number of Olive Green parts, so I moved the project over to LDD Extended, meaning many of the Hog's pieces do not exist as real pieces... Why bother worrying about it though, Olive Green is the best color match in the Lego palette to UNSC Green, even if the model will be stuck in the imaginary world for now.
Some establishing shots of the Hog. Nothing to special. The model was based of pictures of the Halo 4 version, although the simplicity of my model makes no difference to what game it is from.
So... under the car is not a pretty place.
Here is a side shot, to establish scale, and a sense of 'shape (Or the lack of).' I did not bother to create any real suspension system on LDD,too time consuming.
Well that concludes the post, please drive your Warthog safely home, and in the event of a rollover remember to press the 'X' button...
