Nothing plays havoc with financial markets like an interstellar war. Fortunately, as investors you can be certain that your money is in safe hands, thanks to the Banking & Actuarial Recon Corps.
About this creation
These loyal agents of the Glorious Bank of the Republic never shirk their duty to ensure that your funds are guaranteed maximum returns at minimum risk, even in a time of galactic turmoil.
BARC agents are first on the scene of every major engagement in the clone wars to give up-to-the-minute information on damages, insurance claim opportunities, and likely effects on the galactic stock market.
Among these brave men, our finest financiers are recruited into BARC Loss Adjusters - Y Squadron. Equipped with the best speeders money can buy, they are uniquely prepared for frontline fund management.
As the clone wars have spread, increasingly aggressive fiscal policies are needed to maintain our investment performance. To this end, in addition to live feeds to all the major financial markets, BARC(LA-YS) speeders are fitted with interest rate disintegrators and 'credit crunch' grenade launchers, because we know how to hit the enemy where it hurts - in their pockets.
"This is Unit 4, reporting complete liquidation of hostile assets, over. Repeat, all assets liquidated. Save us a jammy dodger, we'll be back by teatime."
BARC(LA-YS) agents and speeders - there's never been a better time to invest in our products. Remember, just because there's a war on, it doesn't mean you can't make a killing!
Okay, this is a bit of a gentle warm down after going out of the MOC Olympics! And an attempt to start learning how to make backdrops for my vehicles. For those of you wondering what's going on, Barclays is one of the largest retail banks in the UK. Any resemblance of the bankers featured in this MOC to real world banks and banking practices is purely coincidental.
This is my first MOC set in the Star Wars universe. Any future ones are also likely to be tongue-in-cheek...
Hiliarious, mad and funny. A wonderful bit of Pythonesque surreality brought to life in Lego. I can just see John Cleese as the minifig with the bowler (similar to the Ministry of Silly Walks) and Michael Palin as his side-kick. This made me laugh but I also thought that it rang true with how the financial world actually operates too. Nice builds (I like the road, shiny with rain water?) and good photography. Good to see that your road is lefthand drive too :) Excellent!
