Buzzwing is Harmful's deputy and master of air-raids.
About this creation
Introducing Teltan Pinbek, called Buzzwing.
Origin: Tekuhero Biomech
Affiliation: Freedom League
Capabilities/strenghts: Flying. Dive Attack. Caustic Clash: corroding every metal surface, he comes in contact with. This effect isn't very fast, but continuous. Vitriolic Vendetta: some of his attacks have a slow, insidious effect. Speed, agility.
Buzzwing is a former member of the HW Elite. Indeed he was Norton Valkyser's adept, and should have succeeded "Forge" one day. Unfortunately Pinbek found out that Forge had been keeping secrets from him. Feeling utilized an deeply hurt, Pinbek was taking revenge and stole the secret shield-technologie that Forge was working on before he deserted Elite and sided with FL.
With such a present in his hand it did not take long to convince Maximus.
Harmful was impressed by this intelligent, proud and ambitious biobot, so he took him under his wing. He wanted to care for his wounded pride and taught him the way of vitriolic vendetta and caustic clash. At least Pinbek received the kiss of the Vitriolance, wich gave him the same corrosive powers like his chief and also effectuates deep loyalty to the weapons master. This is one of the secrets within the Toxic Tribe. It's said, that Harmful in a private moment once said to Maximus, that ironically it was poison that healed Buzzwing.
Unfortunately the shield was defective, somehow unfinished and the Doctor, Forge's counterpart in the FL, could not build a functioning device. It was keeping penetrable and emitting a red shine instead of the expected green. But otherwise it had an effect on the surrounding air, so the Doctor had an idea and formed a pair of wings out of it for Pinbek.
The tactical advantage was invaluable, because the HW Elite had no aviator among them in the beginning.
The wings can't be damaged directly. They flicker and oscillate at the same time.
Buzzwing can take off and land wherever he wants and hover outside his opponents reach.
His favourite weapon is a lance, which provides a good fighting range.
Although they work great, the wings themselves cannot build up much thrust, so Buzzwing has a pair of small jets on his legs which provide a considerable cruising speed and fast manouvering.
Of course the wings are retractable.
View from the back.
A little closer to show a detail in his chest.
Another shot that shows him in flight.
In the meantime i revised his feet.
I admit, basically it's a revamp of Breez. But that's the way i do it with the good designs from the company. And it isn't Breez anymore, it's Buzzwing, part of the Humax Force-story. I changed the color-scheme, added a key feature and some armor. The idea of a flying Breez was good, but those flappy original thrusters weren't realistic and not a consequent design. I think my "butterfly"wings fit the insect-theme better. I could have been making the Breez-set a member of my "Beast-Corps", but my toxic warriors were already emerging, since Toxic Reapa was released, so i put Buzzwing there. I like to have a collection of lime characters as a subgroup of villains.
Unfortunately i had to use a couple of crossaxles with custom-size to align the parts of the wings correctly, the greeblings on the bottom of the chestplate are custom too. Buzzwing is probably a bit plain, but i like his triple color-scheme. I imagine him as an agile air-warrior, tenacious, annoying and not easy to defeat.
Quoting Gringat the Repugnant
[...]A different, perhaps custom, head design could be enough to change that though.
Thank you! You gave me an idea, and i'm glad you like it though. But...there is something special about the heads, so a change of this part will be very difficult.
I will explain later, why this would kind of corrupt my small Legoverse. Nevertheless you are right, regarding the build.
I love the look you gave this MOC, but even with the slight colour change, it really looks too much like a Breez revamp to make much sense calling it something else. A different, perhaps custom, head design could be enough to change that though.
