A 32-story version of the American International Building in New York City. This selectively compressed model uses the same basic massing as the actual tower with about half it's floor count. The 5ft tall model debuted at the 2007 NMRA show. A simple massing model was created on computer to help properly align the model's windows and setbacks.
I can't believe this did not get more comments. Amazing work. I am starting to design my own version and it is definitely very interesting (far more complex than the Empire State Building that I just finished). Given all the setbacks I am just not able to design it to the same scale I used for the ESB. The only way to do justice to this building is with 4-5 ft model like yours (could take me a while to design and build it).
