Here we see the Mk.1 at rest. The loco-motors are set down to relieve stress. The overall weight of the mech can damage the motors if they spend long periods idling. This view also gives us a great look at the profile of the system.
Another view of the Raptor at rest, with the cockpit hatch open.
The first weapon we'll look at is the CQCWS (close quarters combat weapons station)
This unit incorporates a 14.5mm machine gun and a 20mm autocannon, each with their oun targeting systems.
The Raptor's primary armament is a 45mm rail gun. Because of space limitations the ammo for the cannon is on a linked feed that hangs from the primary feed mechanism. Because of the fact that the rails are inert there is no danger of detonation.
A view of the feed mechanism.
Here we see the laser designator rangefinder. When the unit is at rest the system faces backwards.
On the back of the LDR is a searchlight.
Linked to the LDR is two sets of two types of guided munitions. The first (stored on the inside) is four sets of four rockets, each with a semi-active homing system. Stored on the outside are 4 Hellfire missiles. They can be equipped with either laser or TV guidance systems.
Here we have a scale pic next to one of the fine Loyalist Scout Raiders.
