A formiddable matriarch of an equally formiddable race. Her sharp blades and talons are matched only by a sharp and cruel mind.

Anriseth was the matriarch of the last surviving colony of Magnian Harpies (called Korrokoa by the matoran) at a place called "The Eyrie". Their kind were one of the oldest, being one of the first protodermic beings created by the Great Beings on Spherus Magna, just like the Iron Wolves, Agori and Glatorian. They posessed animal cunning and cruelty, but whether they were sapient or not is debatable.
Anriseth herself gained heightened intelligence, strength and cunning after coming into contact with energised protodermis during the Core War. Her wings also became bladed, and her plumage bleached white. It wasn't long before she dominated the rest of her kind with her newfound power, and formed a strong horde of harpies at a place now known as "The Eyrie". This was not far from Skrall lands, and when the Skrall arose, the Korrokoa were one of their bitterest and most formiddable enemies.
While formiddable, few can truly stand up to the Skrall and live to speak of it.
The remoteness and sheer height of the Eyrie gave the advantage - the Skrall could not approach their nests without being exposed on narrow mountain passes, but neither could the Korrokoa get close to Skrall cities. When the Batterra forced the Skrall south, however, Anriseth siezed their lands for her own, and remained their ruler well after the Reformation of Spherus Magna.
During the War of the Weave, the Knights of Spherus Magna called to Anriseth's kind for aid in their fight against the rebel group known as The Druids. She cared little for either side, but hastily agreed as soon as Tanggri revealed D-7, who could command the Baterra to destroy The Eyrie. The Druids proved a much too powerful enemy for the Korrokoa to handle, however. They struck back against the KoSM and found that the threat about the Baterra was a bluff, laying waste to the city of Roxtus before moving south and allying with the Druids. It was not long after the Korrokoa changed sides that the KoSM fell, and Nilmador was crowned king of the Matoran Empire - whose lands did not include The Eyrie.
Anriseth was created for a contest on DeviantArt, to create a female character with humanoid and animal features. She's the only one to have bird-like features, being based off an Egyptian Vulture. The wing design is the same as on Gringat's current form, revised slightly, and the chest design is a variant on Toa Kana's. A lot of time went into giving her a "feathery" look, which I have had some experience with in the past. Lastly, her eye block is this piece, the same as I used on Glacies' Chibi, though the head designs are not the same.
You definitely got the whole Harpy/Hagraven feel going on with this creation! I wouldn't want to get my eyes pecked out by her. Oh wait, she doesn't have a beak but those wings and claws more than make up for it. Bravo.
holy crap that is awesome i mean i have not seen many people do a harpy moc but this one is amazing and the wings in it's self is so detailed. clever use of the pridak feet for the tip of the wings. i must admit that i am surprised that those legs are able to support that form. kinda of thought the witch doctor head was kinda of weird but fit in with the whole moc in general. this could almost be seen as the skeleton of a long dead harpy.
I like how people like you incorporate both technic, hero factory, and regular building into their creations. I find it hard to incorporate hero factory because of the lack of rod connections. I have very few ball joints. Though while faced with this challenge, I am forced to come up with more techniques to make up for it. I think that Hero factory may have been good in this way, but not many others.
Just Beautiful in the creepiest way possible ! The "spikes everywhere" look works well as feathers, and those Pridak feet to enhance the feathered wings is really clever. ;) Also, the feet and legs are soo birdlike yet simple, but totally complete the moc. The HF "sheilds" on the thighs look great and the tail is really impressive ! Great job (As Always), and I always had a strange liking for harpies :D Thanks for bringing back memories of killing them in God Of War :P LOL
Is this awesome?- why, YES: Yes, it is! =D I'm not sure if this is an appropriate aphorism but; the MOC is... erm... "Mythologically Accurate" (is that even right?) While I wouldn't be crazy of the storky-legs on a normal build - specifically because the arms, wings, and upper body are so GREAT (and beg for a stronger set of legs to power around upon)- for the Concept here; this is fantastic! I've already said it once, but the wings/arm structure are GREAT WORK! Cheers!
I WAS WAITING FOR THIS LADY!! I saw it on DA but, since I don't have account, I couldn't say nothing... I always tried to build something like this, I mean, is hard to get a good bird-wing design which can be folded. This one is pretty beautiful, a middle term between a human arm and a wing. The legs and tail are pretty cool, too, but the most important thing I want to ask is... Has it eyes? Because I can see something green there...
