On the subject of flexible figs and pitifully fishy puns...This was going to be my entry for Round 2 of the Flexible Fig Contest 2. Unfortunately a deadline was set that I failed to see, and thus I missed my chance to enter. Though no longer for the contest, here's the build nonetheless! I had fun playing with a few slight angles.
About this creation
The flexible fisherman! And he's catching a tire...yup, pretty classic. In the picture above, I included his tackle box.
And now it's time for a joke. While slightly crude, this is one of my favorites:
Excellent fish bait design. I was just wondering what a hook hand might be useful for and that is a clever idea. I borrowed your fish technique here http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/353699. I hope that was okay.
Awesome build! Fishing is my favorite hobby (I'm actually going down the road to Trail Creek to fish for trout in about an hour). The pose is excellent and I like the slanted, rickety dock. The vig underwater is great, too. Merry Christmas!
So this is your creation, Ian. I had a glimpse of the thumbnail a few days ago (at work) on the main page where I didn't read your name. I liked it instantly, but to my shame, forgot to give it a closer look after work. Glad I now stumble upon it a second time to enjoy the details and the comical but realistic pose of your MOC's protagonist. Same high quality as in "Boo!" --- Since you mentioned contests: Thank you for the invitation to the MELO. The sad thing is, I probably won't have the time to participate, but at least I'll follow the contest as it proceeds.
Quoting Jensen Anderson (b-day Dec. 22)
This is great! I can't say I am sad that you didn't post on time though because if you had I probably would not be in the 3rd round =P i know, a bit selfish. ok, a lot selfish.
Hey, no worries, that's the nature of competition! ;) Congrats on making it to round 3!
