as you may remember, i made a technic elite ages ago. then i redid him a bit more recently. now, i have redone this beast a 2nd time. here's v3 of my elite.
to nigel tang: just pulling your leg. no hard feelings. thank you for giving me credit on your page.
a frontal picture of him. feel the power. he got a major overhaul from last time. lets look...
first, i'll mention the more accutate length of the legs. i think the calves are a bit chubby, and i may revise them in the future. this won't stop until it's perfect!
one thing i like and also dislike about this guy is the arm disymetry. elites do not have symetrical arms, which i was able to capture on this version, but the scaly panels on the left arm were a huge hastle, and i'm not really happy with the outcome. but it was better than making yet another symetrical elite.
just for you, Justin Stebbins, a pointy helmet. i am quite proud of this design. i doubt anyone else would have thought of it. just goes to show that Vahki brains DO have a use! those wings on the side were a pain, and i think they may result in a future version 4.
also, take note of his beady little eyes. those turned out great, i think.
now he's even got relatively accurate shoulderpads. i can't belive i didn't think of this before. and it was so eay, too! *slaps self*
now his back is properly covered, too. very nice! high five!
a great display of his full poseability. 27 points in all! quite impresive, if you ask me.
edit: i just recounted. there's actually 29 points of articulation. sorry about the confusion.
hmmmm, methinks you should leave some reviews, or this guy has got a bone to pick with you!
what can i say that hasn't been said already? this thing is the best sangheili moc so far on the net! too bad you used ratchet joints though. i can't stand ratchet joints to the point that i almost rendered one of my transformer figures useless from kitbashing the ratchets out. keep on WORT WORT WORTing!
I must say, I am *very* impressed. You've really perfected this design over time. The helmet looks fantastic (yay, pointy!), and so do the legs, head, and everything else! And all of it looks way more thick and solid than anything I've been able to make with Bionicle. I've always thought a posable Bionicle Elite could be really awesome and that's what you've made. It's even red! ;) If I had to give one complaint, it would be that the feet should be dark grey like the "skin", but that's a very minor fuss. Great job!
