Christmas Diorama
A small Christmas diorama made as a decoration for this years Christmas.
About this creation
I'm sorry for the blurriness of the pictures. I hope you're still able to enjoy them.

A overall view of the diorama. A yea ago I picked up a large lot (some 5,000 pieces) of 2x2 plates in different colors, and never really gotten to use them until now. I think they turned out great as I really like the red-green pattern on the sides.

Here you can see the two kids about to kiss eachother under the mistletoe. I really like the way the mistletoe turned out. Sometimes simpler is better.

By the way, is that Harry Potter walking the dog? Nah, it can't be. Can it?

"Don't eat the yellow snow!"

"Oh no..."

Another view of the mistletoe. Those red cherries come to their place.

Aerial view of the diorama.

The first thing I built was the snowman. I was still in the process of tearing my HMS Vasa apart, and the radar globe just layed there and I thought "hey, that would make a good bottom part of a snowman". Said and done, I built two more spheres. I'm pretty pleased with the overall look of it, although I think the arms could have been done better and that he could have needed a hat.

The smaller snowman was a late addition to the diorama. I'm quite pleased with the way he turned out. However, I couldn't think of any good way to do eyes that looked good in that scale, so he only got a carrot for a nose (a yellow one, as there's no orange minifig hands).

Two of the trees in the background. I first intended to do three-dimensional trees, but decided to go on this design instead. Think they look alright, but could have been done better.

And here's a few pictures of the smaller snowman:
A view from the front side.

Rear view.

In scale with one of the childrens. For being a "small" snowman, he is quite large...

An exploded view of him. Quite proud of the design. Took me some time to figure out how to make the "snow balls" connect to eachother and still look okey.

Well, that's it. I hope you like it. Please do rate and/or comment. Finally, I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you!
