Haz-Mat 1 is a 2012 Kenworth T-370 with a body by SVI
About this creation
Streetside

Curbside

Rear with lighting and ArrowStik traffic advisor

2012 Kenworth T-370 cab. Bumper features a toolbox. Sirens include a Q2B, a PA300, and a Powercall. Lighting is by Federal Signal and Whelen.

Slide-out in travel position

Slide-out set up. Yellow rods hold the slide-out in place during travel, and support it when in use.

Warning light

Inside the slide-out is a laboratory for testing materials, equipped with equipment from Hach, LaMotte, and others.

Haz-Mat 1 completely set up

Curbside entry door to the body and Haz-Mat placard

Roof antenna array (Thanks to Christian Collins for this design), and indicator lights. Air scrubbers are mounted on the roof as well.

Remote monitoring equipment

Some equipment carried by Haz-Mat 1, including containment equipment, testing equipment, monitoring equipment, and de-con equipment (in yellow container).

Haz-Mat protective suits

The contaminated or high risk area is referred to as the "Hot Zone" in Haz-Mat, so it was only fitting to name the rig after it.
Hazardous Materials 1 is a 2012 Kenworth T-370 with a body by SVI. Inside the body is a complete mobile analysis laboratory. The rig has riding positions for 4 Firefighters/ Haz-Mat Technicians, one chauffeur, and one officer. Some command and communication equipment is present. Haz-Mat 1 is equipped to handle hazardous incidents of all kinds, and often responds as an M/A unit. Haz-Mat 1 responds to most incidents with Medic 2.
**NOTES**
I finally got this rig done! It's been about 6 months since I first put the design on paper. I sat down with an expectation to put the chassis together and order parts to finish, but I was able to finish the rig without ordering anything! (To the new builders who don't yet know this, it shows the value of /stocking up on parts/ when you're ordering similar ones. I bought enough for two T-370 cabs when ordering Engine 1's parts)
Let me know what you think!

I don t understand why you use your desk without a road baseplate since you have some, and it would look better, but, the truck and equipment, is awesome! the moving casing is very cool too! |

Wow, this is a beast my friend. Love it man! You added some really nice details which i like very much: The slide out (one of my favorite parts on this rig), the back with all the lights and all the equipment. The slogan is also really cool and fits well to this nice truck :) |
