About this creation
MI-41 Hulk Medium-Lift Transport Helicopter (Called the Z-41 after Chinese use)

In the earlier years of the SPA, the main medium-lift transport helicopter used was the rather outdated MI-17. As effective as this helicopter was, it was still little match for newer, more advanced GU variants such as the UH-75 Mohegan.

Shortly prior to the Rayat incident, however, Russia- which had recently been integrated into the Sitirian Union- pulled a new transport helicopter fresh off the production line. The design was loosely based off the old MI-17, combined with structural references to the US CH-53E Super Stallion and the UH-75. This new asset was the MI-41 Hulk.

As bulky as it is, the Hulk has an insanely powerful engine, allowing it to even lift a Main Battle-Tank into or out of combat. It has a decent passenger and cargo capacity, with room for a platoon of soldiers and a small vehicle such as a jeep in its hold. It uses a 50 caliber MG roosted on the side-window for air-to-ground support, and carries a refueling probe and a vast array of sensors.

The successor of the MI-17 Hip, the MI-21 Hulk- as its name states- is quite large for a helicopter of its class.

The Hulk's passenger capacity allows for a platoon of soldiers and any vehicle that can fit in the hold, likely a jeep. Here, an MI-41 deploys a squad of 4th Regiment Scouts near a dry riverbed in Tzu Mai.

A side-view of the Hulk in flight, showing the Machine-gunner on the side of the helicopter.

A team of four scouts move out to recon a DC-controlled hill in southern Sakhar, which had been dropping mortar-fire on SPA convoys for weeks. Though artillery in the region is necessary for maintaining superiority on the ground, aircraft can easily exploit their weaknesses by flanking them and eliminating them from above, or by covertly dropping in ops. teams.

The repugnant nose of the Hulk. Though bulky, it houses all the sensors for the craft.

The inside of the Hulk.

I saw your homepage "LIKES: Anime, guns, video games, metal, weekends, guns, BAWLS (the drink), interwebs, guns, drawing, guns, space... did I mention that I like guns? DISLIKES: Bush, neo-conservatives, gun control, hackers, soccer-moms, pixies, anti-anime people, those annoying, illiterate little kids that have invaded Xbox Live, sunny weather, jocks, religion, racists, rednecks." are we brothers? haha nice heli

A GIANT chopper, it looks amazing, and what some of the others thought would be "blocky" doesnŽt bother me at all. Very massive, very impressive!!! Check out my big cargo plane if youŽd like... Steffen

Overly blocky, but if you imagine in the gaps, it looks pretty good. Unlike everyone else, I think my favorite feature is the cockpit. The very tip of the nose needs some help, but I like the tough feel of the windshield. A bit of hopefully-helpful critisism: Russia seems to have some sort of deal with contra-rotating rotors, so there's two rotors stacked on top of eachother spinning in opposite directions. This has two benifits, it has a lot more lift, and that way you don't need a tailrotor. Just a suggestion. If you want to go for it, I have a method of attaching the rotor to the chopper that would work great that I could send instructions for. Just give a holler. Keep it up! -- -- Michael

Great helicopter you got here...literally. The cockpit is a bit boxy, but I like it nonetheless. Reminds me of an American Sikhorsky Super-Stallion, but the Ruskies have a history of copying US technology, right? Great work!

My god, it's huge... It looks like it's bigger than my upcoming Destroyer.. Hmm, I may need to make it bigger. Anyway, another awesome model. Kinda dwarfes the minifigs a bit.
