Combat Spiders can be found in the desert-plains far-west of Tokohero City. Their origins are yet cryptical.
About this creation
Only little is known about the Phormictopus, but since they are armed and easy to provoke, it's dangerous to encounter them.

Combat spiders have six legs with adhesive tarsi. The first pair of legs is carrying bladed extensions.

If they feel treatened and get combat-ready, Phormictopus go into a fast circling movement around the enemy, always averting their vulnerable ophistosoma.

The green structure on the back looks soft, but is actually quite tough. Hero Works' researchers are not sure what it is for, perhaps it's collecting sunlight.

For all who wonder how this bladed-leg-attacks are working. The tibia snaps back, while the spider strikes forward.

Uh-oh, he's in trouble now. The smaller claws on the tibia can hurt as well.

Finally saved by the boss himself.
Ken Dedade:"Thank you, sir"
Commander Durus Mortar:"Your wellcome. Practicing with some low-tech weapons anyway today. Never neglect the basics. Keep that in your mind, young aspirant."

Scarox and his spider-like look was basically a good idea, and i liked the design well. But i found, it was finally carried out poor in the set. So i made an even more spider-ish MOC. Its backbone is the small XT4-bodyframe. The abdomen was the most difficult part and it's still not very sturdy.
