"And Bilbo broke the bread and gave it to the Dwarves and they asked where the all the meat was. And so he took the cup and saw they also drank all the wine." God, please forgive me for this comment; I know you have a sense of humor. Great build.
"...And Bilbo broke the muffin, gave it to the dwarves.....and they asked for more." (This is probably sacrilege). Clever build! While my comment may seem to be making fun, it is all in jest and I don't mean to spoil the importance of the Last Supper. Great work!
Wow, what a great idea and what a way to execute it! Details and parts usage are awesome as usual in your models. I like the way you choose the parts for their form "ignoring" their original function. The background is very cool, too! Great job! :-)) P.S.: About the "sacrilege": There are already so many popular interpretations of this painting (even an "Expendables 2" poster) that I wouldn't worry about that...
Jacob, about your comment about sacrilege, Tolken was a serious Christian and a writer who used various Christian themes in his stories. Who knows, maybe Tolken meant for the unexpected gathering to be reminiscent of the Last Supper, think about it, both are a final meal before a massive change is about to occur.
And this is a great MOC!
