SCP-173: The Sculpture
About this creation
"Item #: SCP-173
Object class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-173 is to be kept in a locked container at all times. When personnel must enter SCP-173's container, no fewer than 3 may enter at any time and the door is to be relocked behind them. At all times, two persons must maintain direct eye contact with SCP-173 until all personnel have vacated and relocked the container.

Description: Moved to Site19 1993. Origin is as of yet unknown. It is constructed from concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon brand spray paint. SCP-173 is animate and extremely hostile. The object cannot move while within a direct line of sight. Line of sight must not be broken at any time with SCP-173. Personnel assigned to enter container are instructed to alert one another before blinking. Object is reported to attack by snapping the neck at the base of the skull, or by strangulation. In the event of an attack, personnel are to observe Class 4 hazardous object containment procedures.

Personnel report sounds of scraping stone originating from within the container when no one is present inside. This is considered normal, and any change in this behaviour should be reported to the acting HMCL supervisor on duty.

The reddish brown substance on the floor is a combination of feces and blood. Origin of these materials is unknown. The enclosure must be cleaned on a bi-weekly basis."

Better view of the object. I've recently taken interest in the SCP Foundation, and I'm in the process of writing my very own, so I've decided to transform some of the more notable (and my favorite) SCPs into MOCs. And I have to start with 173, because he got the foundation going, and is the unofficial mascot.

Here's a top view of the containment chamber. Nothing real special, just dark grey walls and floor with some blood stains as per the article. One thing I've noticed with custom figs; You can't throw them on a plate and expect it to work, and you can't put so much effort into the presentation that it overshadows your subject. Here, I just made the build fit the character, and it seems to be working. I do wish I had tiled it up, though.

As you can see, it is a closed system. And don't tell me to greeb the roof; it doesn't need greebing. It's literally a big metal box; the most efficient way of containing 173.

Now, for the fun part. Let's run a test of the capabilities of this guy...

Ah, perfect. Three D-Class personnel. Don't worry, D-Class personnel are mostly recruited from maximum security prisons, and many are on death row anyway. They have revoked their rights, and now they serve a scientific purpose, or at least that's my excuse.

Now, the door is locked securely behind them. It's a tight fit, sure, but good enough. 173 has no special needs anyway, so...

Aw, bugger. Not another virus. Gotta run a maintenance reboot...

...And that killed the lights long enough for one guy to get his neck snapped. Alright, Class 4 Hazardous object containment procedures are now in effect. Just as long as they don't -crack-

Ah, too late. Now we have one guy left, and how long will he last? And don't give me any of that "blink-one-eye-at-a-time" bullcrap. You can't consciously stop yourself from blinking any more than you can consciously stop breathing. Eventually, like it or not, you ARE going to blink.

Your seconds are numbered, pal. See you in hell.

-epic crack-

Top-down view. As you can see, I decided not to go over-the-top with my detail, bit in hindsight I was probably too hesitant. Ah, oh well. It's not about the container, it's about the object.

Come play with me... Forever... And Ever..

(Totally reeling for the MOCie Award for creepiest photo here)

-About time MP's Uploader worked for me.

-I've got plenty more planned after I do some stuff for 23rd Century. On the horizon are 106, 096, 914, 198, and later 087 and 682. SCP fans will know exactly what I'm talking about; anyone else, feel free to check out the articles. WARNING: Many of these articles contain horrific images and strong adult content. Read at your own risk!

-Please rate and leave a comment. I'd appreciate it if you told me what I did right and what I did wrong.
