Brick-built Barbies
5. What a girl wants? This is one for all those macho guys. Build us a scene, larger than minifig scale, showing off a girl's favourite styling accessories. Details are paramount!
About this creation
Built for Team Puzzle in the 2013 MocAthalon in the category "What a Girl Wants"

Well, I didn't want to build a bathroom, because I saw some pretty stellar ones already. The intrigue of Barbie dolls for girls is the ability to dress and undress the dolls (and then proceed to leave them undressed in most cases :P). I figured that I would take the Barbie doll to another level with my own line of LEGO Brick-built dolls. This basically started when I saw
I wanted to make a cute face. I struggled with the cheeks for a while before deciding to use legs. On to the build!
The three dolls I made originally. They have names. From left to right: " Girl who Kind of looks like Sally Brown from Peanuts", "Girl who reminds me of a co-worker", and "the brunette."

I admit, this dress is a little.... provocative. My sister was schocked. I showed her some Bratz dolls. In comparison, this is the epitomy of modest dress.

She looks like a librarian.

And Sally Brown.

BAM! The whole reason for this MOC. The parts are easily interchangeable! *sings* Plaaaaaayyyyy features!

My favorite variation. <3

My second favorite variation.

A close-up of the brunette's head.

A side-view of coworker's head, with the focus on the pony tail.

Okay, playability turns a 3 into a 4, but did you do any product testing? Would a girl actually want one of these?
