These are the NCA Army’s newest aerial infantry support drones. There are currently two variants in production. Anti-tank specific loadouts are planned for both models.
About this creation
I was aiming for a Terminator feel here. These drones are partially based off the Gaufranian Airial Drones. These drones are a supplement to the NCA Infantry to help clear the way for large infantry advances. They can also be used for seek and destroy, recon, and patrol missions.
This is the Mayfly drone. The Mayfly has two .50 cal miniguns to disintegrate any enemy infantry it comes across.
This is the Fury drone. It has 4 larger engines to support a heavier armament. This beast is called in when the Mayfly has met its match: hardsiuts.
This thing is packing two double minigun turrets. It also has four unguided high explosive rockets. These can take out large clusters of troops, light vehicles, all but the heaviest hardsiuts, and even some lighter mechs.
As stated before, there will be anti-armor loadouts for these drones soon. Then they can be modified to take on heavier armor should the footsoliders require it.
Quoting Matthew McCall
The first support drone's design is a tad simple for my taste, but the second one is great and looks quite capable.
Bigger is not always better. Simple is cheap and cheap is better for mass production. Large nunbers of weaker units will often beat small numbers of more powerful units. If you ever get to play Command & Conquer, it is a great example of that.
