While I was on a bus one day, I opened skincraft and made a skin based on darkmount. I liked it so much, I thought he needed a lego version. Sure, it's not as detailed as the skincraft version, but it's still pretty damn cool.

According to the generations figure blurb (the figure was released around the time that the WFC figures were), straxus waited for many a year since his downfall at darkmount (his fortress). He was reborn, and took the name of his base to show his resolve. That explain it? It's based on the generations figure, not the G1 cartoon.
