This is the ultimate off-road machine. Nothing can stand in it's way.
About this creation
The mission of this bot is very simple - go from point A to point B, and ignore anything in it's way. A bog, stream beds, messy room - it doesn't matter. I designed this leviathan to conquer any terrain you can throw at it, and I have yet to find an environment it can't excel in. Seeing as it can effortlessly step over a six block high wall, there is little that can stop this behemoth. In the unlikely event it encounters something it cannot stride over, it is programmed to swerve out of the way, then resume it's course.
This walker includes many innovative features, such as:
*Top-mounted electronics to allow it to wade through over five and a half inches of water without a care
*Independent suspension on each leg for a smoother ride
*A jointed front section for steering
*A swivel joint on the axle to provide power to all six legs, even when the front pair is at a 45 degree angle
*A color sensor, so you can control it with colored flashlights if needed
*Two motors on the drive train, for added power
*An ultrasonic sensor for collision avoidance
Marching along a stream-bed.
About half-way to maximum depth.
Here's a good view of the pilot.

A good view of the inner-workings.
Sorry about the focus, this is the leg suspension. The black bit is rubber, this system works like a shock absorber.
Nice, i like the capabilities of this robot, especially the wading through water thing. i recently made a robot with a very similar leg mechanism, an articulated body for steering but with power functions instead of Mindstorms, uploaded here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/361186. it would be really cool to see some video of this MOC, as to watch it in action!
