What came next cme as a mild surprise, not a shock: Atanaton. A warrior originally created to be Alatus's avatar, now a separate being altogether.
About this creation
The Atlakans (Dixtlan's species, whose name and origins have only recently been uncovered by the Entity Supreme's agents) have been around for a very long time, practically from the very Beginning. They've been policing, monitoring and profiting from the rises and falls of every civilization in Existence. They were never a Race, more of a Council of Elders. Some say they created themselves, they're so powerful. What is known about them is their main goal has always been to be the wisest and most knowledgeable entities in all of Reality, in other words the most powerful. The Crimson King was their creation, a proxy made to regulate the process of creating new Dimensions and Universes. He just got too greedy for his own good, hence his current fugitive status. But the Atlakans have always taken the side of their own creations, not that of their unexpected byproducts. So now their task is clear: use the Crimson King as a weapon, destabilize the Entity Supreme's empire, then simply replace its head with the King, a willing puppet ready to serve their purposes.
The Entity Supreme has learned of their plans. Whether this is an egregious oversight or the Atlakans have deliberately factored this into their plans, the Entity doesn't know, but he cannot take the risk of not responding to the encroaching threat. What came next cme as a mild surprise, not a shock: Atanaton. A warrior originally created to be Alatus's avatar, now a separate being altogether. However, the process of an avatar's Essence being severed from the Host is unprecedented. The transformation is already beginning, with no definite end in sight.
