Spring break really brought me out of my comfort zone, and deep into my brother's - Microfig hardsuits/mechs.
About this creation
A sample playing field for the "game" my brother thought up - it has something to do with making a hardsuit for a given microfig, and moving it around on 2x2 w/ 1 stud tiles. Based on that, I made this board.
The arch is supposed to limit the size of the suits - it must fit through the gap, as demonstrated by the biggest one I made.
A ramp because They've got to get down from that platform smoothly somehow.
The playing field.
Little castle bits to spice up the landscape.
Now for my suits. First off, this big orange-and-dark-bley guy wielding shoulder rockets and the biggest sniper rifle ever. I could stare at his silhouette all day.
A ninja, designed to be thin and agile. Turns out I accidentally built in a self-destruct feature that activates whenever you touch it.
I don't know what this is supposed to be. This microfig it's based on is a shadow druid kind of thing, so I kind of just went with the whole magic thing, hence the clawed feet and mystic cannons.
My favorite part - finally getting to use those blue axe blades :D
I'm really happy with the droid heads as the sides to his cockpit.
Source of microfig, from left to right - Lava Monster (micro game), Waldurk Forest (Heroica micro game), Ninjago (micro game)
Quoting Thorn Marek
I have been inspired... The day I saw this I built 2 mechs as an experiment, but I don't know if they're short enough... :P
Awesome! Please, go ahead and post them, I'm very interested in what you've come up with!
Oh, and if you could just put a link on your creations citing this as the original, I would love to start a theme :D
