"I'll take the ax," you say. A gun would quickly run out of ammo, and would also be useless for hand-to-hand combat.
You hop on to the motorcycle. You've never ridden one before, but you've seen enough people do it to know what to do. You rev the engine, feeling its power, and adrenaline pumps through your body.
When you are near your work, you dismount from your bike. The mannequins in the display window are broken and have fallen down. Glass from the shattered window litters the ground.
You hear commotion in the shop closest to you, and you walk toward it. Someone inside the shop might be able to give you information about what is going on.
You step into the store. As soon as you do, you wish you didn't; a man with a gun is standing just inside.
Next to you is the panicked shop-keeper. A boy cradles his father's head. From the blood on the wall and on the ground, and from the gun in the other man's hand, you can piece together what happened.
The man whispers his last words to his son. A tear drips down the boy's cheek.
The man with the gun keeps it trained on the boy. His hand shakes slightly and you wonder if it was the first time he has ever killed anyone. Could he kill the boy? Could that man who had already killed the boy's father kill the boy too? And if he did, would he go on to shoot you and the shop-keeper?
You realize suddenly that your own neck is on the line. You consider your options.
A) Get to safety as quick as you can
B) Dive behind the counter next to the shop-keeper
C) Attack the man with your ax
D) Try and reason with him

I would go with C, seeing that its the only reasonable option. If the man already killed a grown man I don't think he will hesitate to kill another. Plus if you save the shopkeeper he might give you some food and/or water.
I think D would be the most realistic option. It's not bioshock, people! Shooting them with a sharp thing is not the only option. Also, I feel that the pics are fine, except for the first couple where the group stuff covers it slightly.
