The McLaren M23 was a Formula One racing car designed by Gordon Coppuck, with input from John Barnard, and built by the McLaren team. It was a development of the McLaren M16 Indianapolis 500 car. A Ford Cosworth DFV engine was used, which was prepared by specialist tuning company Nicholson Engines. This helped push the DFV's horsepower output to around 490 bhp.
British Driver James Hunt won the 1976 Formula One Drivers' Championship in the final evolution of this car.
About this creation
Another 70's Formula One car this time the 1976 McLaren M23 as raced by James Hunt. I am pretty pleased with how this one turned out, I think I got the shape quite well. There's nothing too fancy with this Moc, no working steering or anything but none the less I think it captures the feeling of the car well.
As usual all tips/suggestion are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking hope you like it :)
