Excellent Build. very accurate. How long did it take to make this?
It took me a week to make my original F-4J model, and it takes about a day to make each variant. I have 3 basic models I start from, the long nosed E, short nosed J, and camera nosed RF. From there I modify to create each different version, changing the colors, adding model-specific details or features, and weapons or equipment.
Model features dual opening canopies with detailed cockpits, opening radome with British style 180 degree fold, functional landing gear with multi-piece doors, positionable flaps, spoilers, and airbrakes, positionable tailhook, all-moving tailplanes, positionable RAT (Ram Air Turbine), positionable engine air bypass doors, and folding wingtips. Model also features centerline SUU-16 M61A1 Vulcan 20mm rotary cannon gun pod, and two AIM-9 Sidewinder air to air missiles on each inner wing pylon.
