Yeah! After the teaser, finally the final model! Since the first teaser this car has passed for 3 changes. Now it's better than never, and I gave my best to capture a nice result. This is the model that has won the 1991 24 hours of Le Mans. Here is the final model, I really hope you enjoy it. Please leave a comment!
About this creation
This is a picture of the 2nd mod. Basically the difference is the door collumn.

The last mod features a collunm that allows more space in the interior. Much better.

Overall view:

Front, the best part in my opinion.

Right side. Yeah, this car has different sides! The exhaust is that silver circle brick.

Left side. I prefer the ther one.

Rear, pretty accurate in my opinion :DDD

I just can't understando how to do those doors. Well, they open...

But the real doors also open to the front, after opening to the sky. The only one that made this kind in Lego Bricks was Malte Dorowsky on his 917k, but I don't have half of his perfection to build cars.

Another view.

Interior! the console shapes are the same, I guess.

Here you can see them better :D

And now the seat.

...

Adjustable backboard angle.

nice, huh?

Smooth base:

Pedals:

Now, another real car feature...

Removable hood :D

Aaaah, Wankel engine...
That amazing, perfect, nice, excellent and loud (but also great-sounding) Wankel engine. This has just 2.6 liters and has almost 700 hp! Just by comparison, STI's Boxer engine is a 2.5 liters that produces 310 hp. With Turbo.
The secret is the Wankel engine, at itself. It does not use any pistom. The hole combustion process happen in the crankshaft, causing no wastes of energy with pistoms fricction. As a result, almost 100 per cent of engine use.
And, as you can see, the engine was completely redone, if compared with the first version, which was uploaded here with the first teaser.

Another shot for the uncovered engine :D

And the engine cover (hood) itself.

Sooo, anything else?

Yeah! removable trunk lid!

Nothing else to show here. just a smooth trunk, Or another cover for front suspensions and steering system.

Front lid.

Like most of my cars...

Pull-back function!

If you remove the rear wheels, brake disc and caliper:

Details!

Excellent model of a great racing legend. Btw are you going to "repaint it" into some race team colours? P.S.: Greg 998 set a new group called "Group C / IMSA GTP Headquarter", this would be a nice entry! |

Oh really nice work. You have used the parts pretty well to depict the shape of this vehicle. I really enjoy when people are creative and thrill me with something like this. |
|
Wow. This was an incredibly hard decision. You both did really good jobs on your models and they both look awesome. Here's my breakdown: You have some very nice details on this car. I think that the spoiler on the back would look better (not necessarily more accurate) if it was raised up a brick or two but that is just my opinion. I love the doors on your car and you have some very nice parts usage here. You get my vote. |

Oh, thanks for that! I guess Harry also bought the FXX set too, there are some bricks I can recognize from that set. but thanks anyway! The car has already been destroyed, I couldn't put another steering wheel :/ |
|
This was an extremely well matched Competition, with both using the same set with a few other parts, which also means that it was very hard to decide which one I liked more. I think that Harry matched the curves of his car better than you. I feel that, even though Harry included a roll cage, and you accidentally used a MEGA block part (now imagining this steering wheel there: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=40001) that your interior is a bit better. I think your details all around are about equal. However Harry's car was way to short, probably needed an extra 4 stud's length, and the headlights are a bit off.
I have made the very difficult decision, and have decided, that you have one my vote! congrats! :-) |

Another Blog post? WOW!
Quoting Starscream Soundwave: Fair decision. I really think that his model is better than mine :D |

Hi Alexander. This is a really good model, full of great details and neat functions. I think it is one of your best builds so far. However, in my opinion it is a little bit square, and shaping could perhaps be smoother. I think in places you could maybe have used some slopes to make the lines a little closer to the real cars. I have decided that Harry's Toyota will get my vote because his car is, in my eyes, more accurate and uses more advanced techniques that capture the lines of the real car more accurately. However, this is still a fantastic build that you should be really proud of, and like I said one of your best builds yet. Great work and I look forward to seeing your finished Impreza :) |

Another excellent car! I like how the doors turned out, but I can see what you mean. The engine is awesome. Amazing that it gets 700 horse power with only 2.6 liters! I'm impressed. Also, I'm sorry noemi died. I know what it's like to lose a pet.
Thanks! and yeah, I really miss her :'( |

Hey! That steering wheel is MEGABLOCKS! And from the Mercedes-Benz Mclaren F1. It can look good, but isn't Lego. Because of that I don't give you a 5/5 but a 4/5. You really disapointed me and many others. (Somehow I'm kidding, but the steering wheel is really from the MEGABLOCKS Mclaren F1). So 4/5
oh guys, i didn't know that this steering wheel wasn't from lego. it came togheter with a kit i won of my aunt, that was her son's. inside the box there was a lot of various bricks of various sets, and there's nothing on the wheel that can say me it's not Lego's. I'll put another wheel as soon as I can, thanks for your feedback.
A reply to all: thanks for seeing guys, a thousand thanks for your attention and kins comments! |

@Technic Man: are you kidding me? One part isn't LEGO® and you give it a 4/5? O_O |
