Iron Man 3 - Malibu Mansion Attack (76007) Set Review
I have written this review to help people decide if they would like to purchase this set after I had it bought for mw by my better half for fathers day
About this creation

The box art on the front is the usually stuff as you can see, Lego logo in the top left corner, the age and set name underneath, new Minifigs in the bottom left hand corner and Iron Man 3 logo in the bottom right corner.

The back of the box shows the normal Lego scene for Marvel/DC, comic style layout with the set in action.

Once inside the box you will have numbered bag (1 to 3), two books (book 1 smaller than book 2, I donít know why), a comic book and sticker sheet.

Inside bag 1 you will find all the pieces for the helicopter, the Extremis Solider and The Mandarin and the cape in the cardboard box, there are two smaller bags containing some of the smaller pieces.

After putting together the model, I felt there were improvements that could have been made but for the purpose of the model, itís just me being picky, I also am not a lover of Lego cape so I didnít take it out of the box.

With this shot, I took a close up shot to show a little more detail in the model.

When you get to Bag 2 this one holds the first part of the mansion and the remaining Minifigs, Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, the Mark 42 Armour and a brick built DUM-E with the Mark V case (Legos nod to Iron man 2 I guess).

With bag 2 completed, the mansion is getting there and the DUM-E has also been built and decals added to the case (see close up picture later for a better look), in the top right hand corner you can see Minifig parts, I tend to save the best until last.

A close up shot of what has already been built, I like the green kitchen with blender, but how would Tony or Pepper reach the top cupboard?

On to the last bag, the final parts of the mansion, as always there is a small bag with the little parts in it.

With the third bag completed, the mansion is finished and I must say I was enjoyable to build and it looks awesome as well.

I felt it needed to show some of the outside to give people the idea of what it looks like and some model donít look that great from certain angels.

Had to photo this section as I do like the decal of the spaces for the Mark VI and VII.

The alcove decals are actually Minifig size (as if you canít tell).

This is an overall view of the mansion by itself, it looks like other sets might come out and be connect to it, maybe. But as a model by itself it does the job.

These computer screens are very Tony and I think it looks right at home with the rest of the set.

The decal sheet has not been used up as I felt that some of them would make the set look cheap, also is shows the spare pieces (new black light sabre cap) and The Mandarins cape.

A size comparison is shown with the Extremis Soldier and The Mandarin, a down side if the helicopter is there is no controls for the pilot, but anyone who has any spare parts will probably have a computer hanging around to swap it out.

A close up of the Extremis Soldier and The Mandarin in the helicopter (The Mandarin has a face under the beard and the Extremis Soldier has a glow-in-dark head.)

With all the Minifigs built the set is 100% complete, the Minifigs certainly do make this set especially with the new addition of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts.

Thought it might be a good idea for a picture of the whole set, with the Minifigs situated in front.

A close up shot of the DUM-E with the mark V armour and fire extinguisher from Iron man 1 and 2.

As I am very lucky to own the Mark VI and VII armour I thought I would be a good idea to put them in their alcove.

Tony working on the Mark 42 with Pepper keeping an eye on the computer readouts (the work station revolves so the use can be looking any where in the lab with it).

An expanded shot of the mansion, it give you an idea of what you can do with it if you an AFOL (I also believe that if they bring out future sets they might be able to be added to this one).

After spending time building this set and reading some reviews on other websites, I have found that any conclusions made are my own and are not influenced by anything I have read.

Therefore is have broken down the set and graded it according to what I feel is best, all the scores are out of 10

The Helicopter : 7
The Mansion : 8
The Minifigs : 9
The DUM-E : 8
Overall Set : 9.5

This is of course my own opinion and should let other people decide how much they like the set, I was not disappointed.

Hope this little review helps you make you decision whether you buy it or not, I have deliberately not shown you the working features so it gives you something to play with if you purchase this fine Lego set (please remember that the Mark VI and Mark VII armour are not included in this set).

My apologies if you think my review is too long but I believe in being thorough.

Thanks for reading
