For one of my LEGO courses for kids (age 8-12), the assignment was to let them create their own jumping-jack figure, not out of paper or karton, but bricks. Of course I had to show them an example on how to build one. So this is my version; a little girl with the name Lola.
Jumping-jacks are one of those classic toys, but they slowly seem to disappear. Therefore I wanted to give this figure a nostalgic and retro look. So I mainly used primary LEGO colours, like blue, red, and yellow, and combined those with some clothes that can be considered a bit old fashion.
The articulated limbs are arms and legs, with elbow, knee and ankle joints as well.
I tried to give Lola a bit of a rascal attitude, but still cute and shy.
Some nice, open shoes as well. The string for articulating the figure is the only non-LEGO part.
So where are the money shots? If you want to see the back, or the plain Technic frame, so you can build your own jumping-jack figure (which you can actually hang on the wall), I refer to my website: NKubate.com .
