Part of the VirtuaLUG collaborative for Brickworld 2013
About this creation
When I found out that VirtuaLUG was doing a Wizard of Oz build I quickly offered to build the Ruby Slippers. I had been want to try some life-size building, so this seemed like a fun challenge. After a few starts and stops, I finally figured out how to get the organic shape that I imagined. They're a 7.5, in case you're wondering. Thanks to VirtuaLUG for letting me join the party.
This was such a cool addition to the collaborative, Devon! When my wife saw this from the BW world pics it was an instant fav of hers. (She collects shoes like Phipson collects social diseases.) Thanks for joining in on the action, and GREAT work!
Do you know how many times Lee wanted to try them on. I woulda let him but he never had a dress that quite matched... Thanks for being a part of this Devon! They were a truly beautiful addition! ~ Chris.
Gorgeous work here Devon! The angles and the use of trans red really make the slippers pop! These stood out beautifully on the end of the V-lug display table. It was also a great pleasure meeting you at the convention. Cheers! ~Ian
