Digging for Pirate Skeletons
About this creation
Hello everyone,
This model was basically an experiment in creating skeleton/minifigure hybrids. After I had the dead pirates constructed I wanted to find a use for them so I built this little beach scene. A group of treasure hunters/archeologists are digging for a sunken ship and have found the rotten remains of three pirates along with a few barrels and coins from the long lost vessel.

Here are my pirate figures. When I was building them I did not know that I would be making a scene for them so I put the effort into making them (somewhat) sturdy, something I probably would not have done had I planned to have them lying on the ground.

Here is the pirate captain. He is definitely my favorite of the pirates. Which one is your favorite?

Here is the peg-legged pirate. His skeletal arm is clipped onto one of these feathers. This technique does not work when regular legs are attached to the figure so I had to use this weird peg-leg.

Here is my gun-slinging pirate. This was definitely the easiest one to construct. The arm technique is not my design.

Here are my archeologist figures.

Thanks for viewing! This model included several new (hopefully) techniques on the figures so I would like people's thoughts!

Not your best. The pirate Captain is very cool and the peg leg guy is interesting. I like the vig although it is quite plain.
