Once again, we join Dr. Wolf and his Co-host, Dr. Weston, for a look into a lego forum.
Today, we are looking at the online world of Lego. Not, as some of you may think, other websites, but, infact the online Lego-related forums. Today, we are talking about a particular faveourite of mine. Dr. Weston disgarees, but what does he know, he is a co-host..
We shall begin our tour of the forum with talking to members about what this forum is all about. As you can see behind me, several members are busy logging in and talking to members from all over the globe.
Scorpier: 'It's great! Really, you can meet all sots of fellow lego builders from MOCpages, Flickr and other websites.'
Killernoob: 'I agree. It's an awesome site, and, you can post your models on there too! And give tips and hints on how to make a model better before ya show the world.'
Tim ltd: 'It's a cool place, easy to use and free, which, is important. You can make some great friends there and learn new building techniques.'
Adam: 'After the closure of the first forum, due to er.. some, 'difficulties'.. I created this one with the help of some friends. It's a .com, so we paid for it and it is ours, so no forum--hosting site can close it down.'
You may be wondering, whats it all about? Well, I'll tell you! And so will Dr. Weston at some point. Maybe.
So, Adam, tell me, what is the forum all about?
Adam: 'Well, it's all about being social and lego. Mostly lego.. and a few other things. But still lego-based. It's a place to meet other lego builders, and talk to them and discuss many different topics, ranging from Military to Castle to Scale to Halo. It is a very secure website too, we are very strict on security and rules. We won't have any bullying or agression on our forum! Zero tolerance.'
Legosim: 'They are there for a reason, so you gotta obey them, or Adam's owl will come looking, then you're toast!'
Mastergongfu: 'Haha, yup. We had some problems with the old forum, with a guy called Joe, who caused havoc. He was quickly gotten rid of. Rules are there for reasons, break them and you're out for good. We have quite a team of staff.'
Thank you and, er, Dr. Weston? Could you please remove these Pringle cans? They seem to be re-spawning.
Dr. Weston: 'Sure thing. There were a few more somwhere...'
So, Adam, any last words?
Adam: 'It would be great to have new members! The forum is safe, free and a great place to be part of. So, come and join and meet new people and learn new building tips! We're always open to questions about the forum, and we also have a guest chat!'
So, this concludes our in-depth study of a lego forum, Outside the brick. Many thanks to Adam, and to the other members for thier input.
I hope you have enjoyed it, and we hope to see you online! I know I am.
Dr. Weston: 'Hmm, that Pringle-boy looks familar to me..'
DC soldier: 'Move away from the pringle can! Do it! MOVE!'
Thank you very much Tim ltd u have made my day three times today :D!! i loove your stuff AND as for u mr joe i proclaim you like the biggest (word of which can't be siad on mocpages) in the world. hehehe :P ok that might be a little harsh
Ha! The same Joe that I heard of so much is posting!? Amazing! Not only he cannot spell or type, but as the coward he is he won't leave his Email! This Forum Incident is so funny it should be made into history!
Nice, I like it.
hmm.. I like the (edit) pringles guy. ;)
But can you not leave(edit) pringles guy alone?
I know there were a lot of um, problems associated with him, and it adds a lot of fun to the mocs, but please, don't provoke him, ok?
P.S. I don't have enough time for the forum, but maybe soon I'll join.
