Rhannu - 50/50 Challenge Round 1
I went with half old / past and new / future for the competition. This is also my first backstory, so don't judge me on that XD . Wish me luck!
About this creation
Rhannu: Welsh for 'split'.

Rhannu is stuck. He doesn't know what to do. Should he upgrade? Or are his old parts doing the job? He knows new parts offer more features, but He feels comfortable in his own skin. Maybe the new stuff really is innovative, genius technology? But should he stick with the classics? Truth is, Rhannu doesn't know. He's undecided.

He's Split.

Front profile. I tried to make it as evenly spit as possible. Some it crosses over halfway, but it's hard to be even when Bionicle generally uses odd numbers

Striking a pose. This guy can pull off some pretty neat positions, as we'll see later. I really like the loose chains, it really gives it a sense of being old.

The new, or futuristic side. I am most proud of this side, just because of the non-monochrome look that a lot of my creations don't have.

Back profile. The silver side was taking up a lot of the front, so I made sure to even it out at the back.

The old / past half. I wanted it to be simple, since old machines generally aren't as complex as they today.

The torso close up. Two ball joints give this guy a ton of motion.

My favourite part of the MOC: His futuristic leg. This was the first thing I built, and it's the thing that really got the MOC started.

I incorporated a piston into the design, allowing it to hold a lot of pressure. You'll see why :) .

This arm is pretty simple, but does the trick.

Not much to say here. The chains are pretty.

Again, I wanted this side to be simple, so there aren't many interesting design elements to talk about.

Lookin' pretty stoic.

Lookin' pretty old.

Ah. here's a good example of a pose that requires the leg to hold a lot of pressure. Good thing I installed that piston ;) .

Another one-legged pose. Not really kicking, more movin' to a fat beat.

"...You put your right leg in and you shake it all about..."

And one last trick to top it all of. Getting him in these poses is really quite easy, but loose ball joints make it hard for him to stay in them :( .

Anyway, I really hope you like it. And if you're not a judge, wish me luck in the competition!

Epic work! The only thing I could find odd about him would be the head, which would be a challenge to do in conjunction with a Splitface half. Here's a 7.

Finally! Another contender!! Dual mocs are extremely difficult to pull off (personal experience speaking), but this one is quite an interesting one! I like the split between old/new; it's certainly creative. As for the problems with the split down the middle, I'm pretty sure you can come up with some ways to armor either side to conceal the abnormalities. Anyways, nice job, and best of luck!!
