The Non-Loyalist Army's second generation mobile air defense system. The Mk.3 is an upgrade of the MK.1-2 MADS units.
About this creation
One of the main differences between the MK.1-2 and the MK.3 is the layout of the crew. This model has been designed to give the crew maximum survivability.
Here we see the MK.3's turret. The Mk.3 carries the same armament as the Mk.1-2. However, there are many changes on the turret. Because of the enlarged crew compartment, the M.3's turret also carries it's 30mm ammunition supply. Along with this, the tracking system is no longer slaved to the movement of the cannon. This allows the unit to scan for enemies without using it's backup battery to operate the main turret drive. The Mk.3 also uses the latest generation SAM-11 missiles for dealing with most any airborne threat.
