My entry for Sean and Steph Mayo's Art of War Contest. A master samurai destroys his hooded assailants using the art of deception. Enjoy confusing yourself with the Penrose Triangle!
For more detials, be sure to watch the video (also found below), complete with original music!
Wow this is really awesome. You are an incredible artist. May I include this build in a magazine I am making for a school assignment? The magazine will not be published it is just a school assignment.

A question, how do you make your music?
Hi there Stephen, I've composed my music using various software. The first song in the video (above) was composed using mostly EastWest sample libraries. EastWest is high-end equipment and I don't normally have access to it. If you're familiar with the cinematic music group Two Steps from Hell, they're the developers of EastWest (they've also used it in their music). I had the privilege of attending a music technology class, where I orchestrated that first piece in EastWest (I'd already composed the melody). The second song in the video was composed/orchestrated using Yamaha keyboard synthesizers. It is actually one of my very first orchestral scores. I'm not overly thrilled with it, but it fit the length of film nicely. Until quite recently, the Yamaha synthesizers were my main method of composing orchestral scores. A few months ago I received Sibelius 7 composing software, which I'm gradually switching over to (though I still use the keyboard for sketches). With the exception of the EastWest piece, I generally mix my music in Audacity or Sibelius 7. I hope that answers your question!
oh wow! this piece really is much more than it seemed! in many ways too, the design and concept is fantastic! the techniques amazing, and a message with a lot of deapt, the music is well composed for it too, bravo!
If you plan to buy EWQLSO, I recomend buying the Gold edition, its worth every penny. It has a lot more articulations than the Silver edition and at a great price. I love it, it's a great deal and you can come up with stunning realistic results.
Symphonic Choirs is also a must have, it blends perfectly with EWQLSO and it has a word builder tool so you can easily type in the letters and build your own phrases for the choir to sing. Not sure about Stormdrum, I don't know if its related to EW Godzilla, but its another fantastic product for sure.
I've heard some demos and its a really great tool but from my point of view it's not worth it because I have all the percusiion I need in EWQLSO Gold. Keep on composing, your music sounds really nice. Cheers!
Quoting Mihai Marius Mihu I hear some EWQLSO in there, do you use Stormdrum aswell?
Thanks for the comment! I composed the first song at a music technology camp I attended, so unfortunately I don't actually own any of the samples (though I hope to someday!). You're right, I used East West. I'm not sure about Stormdrum though. Is Stormdrum related to the EW godzilla percussion kit? As for the second song, it was composed using Yamaha keyboard synthesizers. Would I be right in guessing that you're a fellow composer and Two Steps fan?
A really, really nice MOC and simply spectacular presentation! Brilliant work with the Penrose triangle, I had to watch the video to figure out how you got the top corner to look right. Great minifig poses and composition too (both music and scenery!) I bet you do well in the contest...
Brilliant! I like how you chose to use the Penrose Triangle to symbolize art rather than actually positioning the minifigs in a battle, it's like a battle of wits. (Which reminds me of your Darth Vader vs. Spock creation, hopefully this one's as successful!) Great landscape as well. Complex enough to be interesting, but simple enough to let the triangle stand out.

That cursed triangle. No matter how hard I try, I can never understand it, nor how it was built. Good job, though!

WOOAAHHH!!! Love this moc; and the tree, and the figs.... The music, how did you compose it?
I sat here for half an hour staring at this thing in every position it could be stared at before I watched the video, and all of my theories of how it was achieved were wrong. :| Great work Ian, inspirational stuff. :D

I have to comment again! I watched your video and I love the music! It sounds like something Hans Zimmer would make!
Edit: I just noticed the water is shaped like a man in a fighting pose.
Thanks! The first song actually happens to be called Zimmerism! I'm a big fan of Mr. Zimmer's soundtracks. Also, interesting observation about the water. That bit definitely wasn't intentional!

Thanks for the comment! I appreciate your vote of confidence, but I still feel I've got some pretty stiff competition. We'll see!

Absolutely brilliant, based on the entries I've seen I'll be shocked if you don't win! Everything here is brilliant--I love the simple yet elegant tree, the figs and their poses are spot-on, and the illusion is, of course, stunning. Nice addition with the lights and miniscene below, too!
