Well, this was one heck of a build. Started with the arms, moved to the torso, slapped on the head, put together the feet, and proceed to cry about the legs for two days before making the ones you see here. I'm quite proud of how he turned out. And, he may just be my best MOC yet.
I'd like to give a big thanks to my bros Lord Oblivion, Tabaris Carpe Nocte, and Railblade. They helped me out with this MOC so much. An extra special thanks to Mike for letting me steal his torso design without either of us realizing it.
I guess that'll be all this for post.
Until next time, Dark Crusader, Piece Out!
I didn't expect that Bushiro could me more awesome... And it seems I was wrong. I totally love this version! It has a great part usage, specially the white HF plates on the torso! It hasn't almost a single gap on its entire desing. I don't see anything I don't like, actually. The head design is surprisingly beautiful and similar tor the original; the arms and legs have a great design... I think is one of the best titan versions of the contest, seriously. I think you made it to the round 5, am I wrong? Hope not, you deserved it. Great MOC, dear! <3
Great entry. Really captures the character while giving us a very nice titan. I do have some nitpicks, though: First, the lower legs. They look good, until you get to the knee and the back area, wich look just too uncovered compared to the overall look of the MOC (also, why aren't those HF small bone pieces on the tights not connected to a balljoint oin that socket? But thats just my MOCing OCD). Second, the crotch, wich cold use some covering, like a skirt or loincloth-style thingie, rather than those exposed technicmajigs. And third, the upper arms, wich aren't really bad, but just could use some polishment. Still, very good and one of the best entries this round, possibly my favourite. Heres a 9 to you.
This is definitely my favorite entry this round. Very clean, true to original and unique. The placement of armor is excellent and posability superb. I can't really find a thing to complain about, except maybe improved armor in calves. 10 points.
That head, that ominously Cyclopean head... An overall consistent MOC with clean, flowing lines and pays homage to the original MOC very well. It's odd, given the liberal use of HF panels for what you are about to receive. I just can't find a lot of things to nitpick. Absence of toes perhaps? That critical weak point at the unarmored neck? I've no choice. A solid 10 for this giant robot killing machine.
Based on ONLY shaping and proportion - this is my favorite R4 entry - but fair is fair; so more traits are brought into consideration for every R4 MOC. There are still Wins elsewhere, notably: the custom head isn't overdone, but I like that monocular shell with the yellow technic 'lens', the WheelHeelies really did it for me, as well, and I like the committed fixed forearm blades, even when I usually like them to be retractable. VERY nice work, all over. 9 points!
