When I think of the coolest movie vehicles, one of the first rides I think of is Max's Interceptor. Here are the two versions from Mad Max and The Road Warrior. For those who don't know, the car is based off a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT.
From Mad Max, complete with the full Concorde front end. Man, this thing is OBR... One Bad Ride.
From the Road Warrior, with the damaged front end. I went with the brown tinted glass, gives it an aged look. I also tried to dirty up the sides, too. I put Max's security system underneath with the knife. The trunk was removed and replaced with the gas tanks. I originally went with two full tanks. But I found if I shorten one of them a bit, I can wedge the spare tire in.
I really hope they bring this car back for the new Mad Max movie.
I love these, John. Great work and I like how you did the rusty bits. Would be great to see these built in real life, but they still look good in digital form.
Only recommendation I have is on the interceptor from the first movie: I would make the headlight covers 2 wide instead of 3 wide, but it's really a very minor nitpick.
I look forward to that indeed! Certainly the best REAL explosion in movie history as well as the all time best head on collision EVER. Gotta have the mechanic lobbing Molotov cocktails while on fire. This could be a massive undertaking John. So many details. Sounds completely awesome!
Hey thanks! If I ever get around to it, I'd like to do a bunch of the gang's cars as well as the tanker truck so I can set up the final chase scene.

A classic! It'd be a shame to blaow it up. Another perfect Max ride. You ought to try the gyro captain's flyer. Or, better yet, Humongous' nitro truck. "Just walk away!" Great job John!
