Fortrux was a young Matoran living on Hybra-nui. He trained as a monk with a master Turaga at his temple, but there was always something holding him back, preventing him from becoming stronger. One day a Makuta of immense strength came to his village and attacked.
Fortrux came upon the Makuta just as he was about to deliver the fatal blow to his beloved master, but in his last seconds the turaga was able to communicate to Fortrux a secret. As the makuta's final punch fell, Fortrux ran to the dais from which he had received so many lectures and grabbing the sword that he found there, he was transformed into a grand and majestic Toa of the Psyche, but he was too late... The Makuta was gone.
He traveled for many years, searching for the Makuta who had fled from the scene once Fortrux had become a toa. Finally he found him, hiding on a far away planet. Preparing himself, Fortrux went out to destroy the Makuta and at the end of a great and earth-shatterng battle, he decided simply to make it so this Makuta could never harm anyone ever again. He removed his hands, ensuring no-one would ever fall to his evil again.
Leaving the planet, Fortrux came across a small and aging matoran called Escalus. They travelled together for weeks and it was not until they went separate ways that Escalus revealed his true nature. He was one of the great scribes of old, capable of warping time and space, but his time was coming to an end. After millenia of watching over the universe, Escalus transferred his powers onto his friend and departed this life peacefully. This was a much less true for Fortrux. He was transported to a limbo universe where time did not pass.
Usually a peaceful place where powerful dead beings were categorized, the air rang with the clamor of combat. As he materialized, Fortrux was stripped of all of his armour, his mask, weapons and power. To add to his woes, he was attacked, by a group of rogue shadow stealers. Fortrux did what any sensible toa would do, and ran like heck.
A small being who had materialized close to Fortrux, a large scar running across his battered body, managed to reach for a mask in time, Fortrux could not see his own. He looked about desperately and saw a lime glow. With the shadow stealers converging, he ran to what he could now see was a mask and thrust it upon his face. Immediately he felt excruciating pain. He could feel his power and personality being stretched as though across all of time and space.
Then a cry from the small being, who was indeed Cossy, brought him to his senses. This being was in danger and he needed to help him. He ran forward, wishing for a weapon and as he did a mighty sword appeared in his hands. He swung it and the wave of power brought forth disintegrated the shadow stealers. Cossy and Fortrux teleported away, they were safe. Cossy and Fortrux spent Millenia trying to discover the secret to discovering his old powers and they became great friends.
It was not until Fortrux was poisoned by a vicious draining Rahkshi that he would again change, the poison was time poison - engineered by a makuta to send him back in time, and when he arrived he fell through the limbo universe, unable to move as the lime kanohi became ever further from his grasp.
He landed on a craggy planet in the shadow of limbo, with little to no apparent life, apart from large shadows that wafted past, just out of sight and sound. Fortrux was forced to accept that he had lost. The coming weeks were hard - without a mask he had no power, and without a weapon he could not defend himself. Ravenous, and teetering on the brink of insanity, Fortrux was taking shelter in a cave as a monumental thunder storm ravaged overhead.
He lay down, "need to get some sleep", he thought, and pulled over a stone to use as a pillow. The stone was scratched, and grooved, and in the dusk and gloom, Fortrux thought he recognized the pattern - it was his Kanohi. But it was not green, it was not glowing and when he pressed it to his face, nothing happened. Distraught, for he knew he could never see his friends again (he would miss Cossy's cooking), he ran out into the storm.
Full of anger at what had happened to him, he intended to die in the lightning and the cold. With a flash and a crackle, and then an ominous sizzle, Fortrux's part metal bio-mechanical body was flung 300 yards by a bolt of lightning, the black mask spinning away into the distance.
Days later he awoke, feeling unsettled and groggy, but alive. But he was not as he had been before the blast. He had changed, e opened his green eyes to a new body, smaller, but buzzing with energy. More powerful. He stood and with his right arm rent a hole in the void, through it he could see himself, shocked that his powers had returned. Slowly and unsteadily, he crafted himself new armour, a new sword and returned the fallen black shadow mask to his face. Turning to face the skies, he was fully aware of the truth - his power had never left him, the mask had simply channeled his energy. With a shockwave that left a crater 3 feet deep, Fortrux jumped from the planet surface, his heart intent upon destroying the new Makuta who had caused him so much pain. The white has faded to grey, but the green flash is still there.
FOURTH WALL: So, I know I only just posted that last one - but let's face it sucked so I'm going to delete it! I think the edit looked pretty rubbish as well. But here, the lime is back! Credit to Chro for those forearms, they work really well with this colour scheme. I have ordered another Lime Ruru so it should arrive soon, and then there'll be an exciting story for how we get it back ;) Please leave any criticisms or comments below :) Thanks!
This is sweet! It's got that technic-greeblefest that, when done correctly, I quite like. A very impressive (and fast) revamp to an already impressive MOC. Much better legs. The sword blade is really my only gripe. Black or silver (did they make those in silver? I think they did) would have been better.

Normally exposed ball joints connecting HF armor plates do not look good, but it works here. [...] One thing I would change though, is that little slope piece down... there. It looks kinda awkward.
Thanks a bunch man! I was wondering if someone would comment about that, I think the same thing, I'm just not sure how to replace it :d
Normally exposed ball joints connecting HF armor plates do not look good, but it works here. The mechanical feel is great, he reminds me of Galaxus. At the same time though, he has his own unique appearance. He really does look pretty dang awesome(especially the arms and torso in general). One thing I would change though, is that little slope piece down... there. It looks kinda awkward.
