About this creation
The thrill.
Wallaeon yearned for it.
Not a minute passed without the Wizardri master of stealth wishing he was out there, in the fight, doing something, doing anything. Instead, he was stuck inside this guard tower, useless, watching an empty desert plain, while Archaeous and Mordemir risked their necks for the kingdom.
It KILLED him.
Many times Mordemir had warned him of his rashness, telling him to not be so impetuous. That was why he was here, Wallaeon reminded himself. This was, in a way, his punishment. And that was why he was so determined to do it right. If he could do this one job for Mordemir, maybe he would finally realize Wallaeon could handle himself.
At least, that was his hope.
In fact, it was the one thing that kept Wallaeon going through the crushing hours of boredom that he was forced to endure as he stared and stared over the plains of Aaranai. Occasionally he would tread the steps to the bottom of the tower to check on the situation with the king’s palace guards, but nothing had changed there either. The Black Lord’s army of Xalras was formidable, but none had been had sighted for months.
Still, sitting in this cramped, stuffy tower, with only one small window to allow in fresh air, it was easy to get angry. Like anyone was actually going to attack from the plains. It would be a totally foolish move if they did, and it would be seen miles away, unless it was foggy. And that, Wallaeon was certain, would NEVER happen. The weather on the plains of Aaranai was constant: sunny, cloudless, and scorching hot.
“Surely it’s got to be almost time to get Eclipse, right?” Wallaeon thought in desperation. Standing up slowly, stretching his aching legs, he walked to the window. Peering out, he squinted in the bright light, checking the position of the sun.
That’s when the black-feathered arrow stuck quivering into the mortar two inches from his head.
Wallaeon’s first thought was, “Xalras!”
Yet when he whipped his head to look towards the ground, he didn’t see the armored troll-like monsters he expected. Instead, he saw something that completely baffled him:
A floating cloak.
Reacting quickly, the wizard pulled his head back into the room and dove for his staff lying on the floor. Snatching it up, he hurtled back to the window. Peeking around the corner, he noted in dismay that the cape had been joined by seven others, and they were spreading out to surround the base of his tower. Mystified by their strange locomotion, Wallaeon still had his wits about him enough to remember there was only one exit besides the window, and it was about to overrun by these creepy things. He also knew a five-story drop, even if he survived, would render him unable to run away or fight.
There was only one choice, and as much as Wallaeon hated to admit defeat, he knew it when he saw it.

4th Wall Commentary:
Well, here is my latest creation! Hope you enjoyed the writing, it was writtenby my cousin, A M. Speaking of which, this is a speed build collaboration between him and I. The writing is a section of the novel I'm writing with him. I'm pretty pleased with the result of this. And the guy on the tower is Wallaeon, you could probably guess. Thanks, A M, for the help!
God bless!
~Andrew

Nicely done! It's interesting to be able to tell which parts he made and which were done by you, you two both have such different styles that it's fairly easy to tell.

Excellent work, Sarge. It was fun working on this with you. You really outdid yourself on the angled rocks and doorway. That writing could do with some edits, though ;D

A. Sargent - A good enough builder to where he just doesn't have time to write his own stories. XD.
I'm joking. Great Castle MOC!
Thanks. Yeah, haha, that's an excerpt from the novel I'm writing with him, and this MOC came from a part that he wrote. |

Brilliant texturing on this MOC! It looks like it was a lot of fun to build. Awesome work guys!
Thanks! Yes, it was, even though we had to scramble to finish within 2 hours, and A M left to watch a movie in the middle. I don't blame him; it was probably more relaxing than working on this. ;) |
