LOM: Strength of a Few - Citizen Challenge
The continued adventures of Isaak the Wanderer, for the Lands of Mythron group. Enjoy!
About this creation
After assembling a small team, Isaak, the dwarf Jarlite, and Carthal Villager Tobias set up a Clockwork Gale, a dwarven weapon for fire-less explosions...

The fortress, despite belonging to Rainos, was built on the ruins of an older fort.

Isaak stood by the corner, no doubt of Mythron design, keeping guard as his comrades set up the Clockwork Gale. He prayed no guard you come this was, as this was incredibly fragile attack plan. All it took is one thing to go wrong..

Jarlite: Alright lads, we have around five minutes... let's hope our comrades back at the gate attack soon.

Isaak: Quickly, grab your weapons! I don't want to be around when this thing goes off.

Following Isaak's orders, the three grab anything they had set down, and run down the path, eager to escape the wrath of the bomb.

Inside the camp, a Rainos Berserker warms himself by the dying morning fire.. in just a few moments, Matthew of Tomeu would attack the front gate.

Hearing the yells of comrades, the Berserker is interrupted, not knowing of the danger on the other side of the wall.

He ran to get his ax..

Reeling around, heading to the front gate, two levers in the bomb unlocked.

Exploding with great force, the blast knocked the Berserker to the ground. The wall had been reduced to rubble, and all without gunpowder.

Finally grabbing his ax, the man of Rainos turned to see a sight.. on that would be his last.

Isaak, Blessed Spear raised ready to strike,, yelled in a mighty voice.

His soldiers yelled the same battle cry, filling them with a similar bravery for king and country.

Throwing his spear, Isaak jumped down from the ruined wall, summoning what little fire there was in the fire-pit onto a investigating archer.

Calling the name of spear, Gungnir, it flew to Isaak hand. The soldiers of the outpost were mainly at the front gate, defending against Matthew, making the opponent here few.

Note: No words will accompany the next few pictures.

Isaak gasped for air. The encounter with the elite Rainos soldier had been much too close for comfort. He thanked Jarlite profusely for the rescue.

Looking beyond Jarlite, he saw Tobias, realizing he hadn't been by his side the entire time, yet he was alive.. Isaak made a mental note to talk to him later.

Charging into the fight, the three men together began to finish what they has started.. freedom from lawlessness.

Much latter, after the battle had been won, corpses and weapons had been cleared. Isaak confronted Tobias.

Isaak:..That, along with the fact that you survived the attack alone, leads me to believe you are not letting us on to the whole truth...

Tobias:.. I was afraid something like this may happen.. in any case, the mage that died wasn't the one who was the emasry from the crown.. I was.

Tobias then went on to explain how he was an agent of the crown, a private party employed for action, much like Isaak. He had even hired the mage to pose for his position.

Jarlite: Well.. you'll fit in along just fine lad! That is.. if you'll stay. You're mighty strong with a short sword.

Tobias: Well.. I recon I would join.. if you'll have me ser Isaak.

Isaak looked the mercenary over. Much like himself eh? He would see about that.. besides, if Isaak wanted to survive during war, he would need a few more allies.

Isaak: You're Hired. As a member of the group of... well, names can come latter. You'll get one forth of the items we get. How does that sound?

Tobias agreed, saying it was 'mighty fine!'. Agreeing to let his carry the shield, the young man, the dwarf, and the professional treasure hunter walked down the long road.

Isaak, taking off his bandana, spoke lastly.

Isaak: With that generous pay from Matthew.. I'd say were set for great things. I'd even bet ol' Gungnir on it too.

Isaak was right. Within the next few weeks, the three began to make a name for themselves, for Mythron, and for the people. They fought together, the Strength of a Few.

Builder's notes:

Chapter 1 of Isaak's story ends... setting the stage for a few better builds. I'm impressed with this build, I'd dare say it's my best effort so far!

Cool MOC and story! I like the minifigs, and the way you doubled up sections of the wall and then braced them together, it's a nice detail.

Quoting Brick Boy Cool story! I really like the fact that there are still Mythronains that remember the golden age;) We've got some bad publicity, and we need to show the "people" we can stand strong! Speaking of, "Strength of a few..." Might you want to do a Cross-over with me? -Brick Boy
